defrazzle
Hi - I live in the Adirondack Park, near Saranac Lake, and moved here from Plattsburgh, NY. I moved to Plattsburgh, NY while still in the Air Force and retired in 1988 after 20+ years of service. I built our retirement home in the Adirondack Park and the 4 acres I own, is on and surrounded by a 110,000 acre parcel called the Santanoni Section. I love to hunt and use a bow, muzzleloader, shotgun and rifle. Fishing is also one of my favorite past time! Have hunted in Germany, Spain, Nebraska, Florida, Kentucky and New York. This years new big game regs should be intesresting - Regards to all

defrazzle
It's a very large areas, big whitetails with big racks...BUT...hard to hunt. No trails, lots of mountains, and no people. I remember on drag took me about 6 hours...up and down and up....

Robt Weber
welcome , I know your new neighborhood well, many generations of us born and raised right there, those far back kills are best handled with cheesecloth and a packbasket, enjoy your retirement that's the right place to do it.
