Now that spring turkey season is winding down, it’s almost  time to focus on deer.  Per the DEC website, the early September antlerless gun season is a go again this year.
 

 I would be very thankful for a mature doe, during that season .  We use a lot of ground venison, and getting one early would take some pressure off the later seasons.
