Did my middle finger right hand,just the tip after the nail on an old foot powered pexto sheet metal shear,left foot slid on a piece of scrap metal as I was pushing a piece of sheet metal into the blade,finger went into one of the slots in the hand guard,right foot was on the pedal and the blade went down,it was a nice clean cut.I took the tip to the doctor and he threw it in the garbage.He said if it gets infected I will have to cut more off.This was a long time ago.Just lucky it was not a thumb or a pinkey,they are the 2 most important fingers.

Pinky? I thought pinky was the least important? Followed by the ring finger. Worth noting: If you place you hand flat on a table with the palm down, the ring finger is the only one you can't lift up on it's own.

About 3yrs ago,was splittin wood with the wife,with the new splitter and about took her finger clean off. LOL,damnedest thing you ever saw,that flat thing danglin off her hand.She put her hand where it should not have been and in a "split" second it was all over but the scream and oh chit. Crushed it real flat like.Not pretty at all,was even longer than normal,LOL. She had me crying,felt like chit and I know the pain she felt.Went to the ER and they said it looked like it was crushed,yep,it's crushed....I said no chit! Book smarts I guess.

Yep ..counting all my blessings it was bit clean off...dang!!...Mr B was working around the house...accident crushed his foot....actually blew out the side..nasty!!! he was in wild pain for along time....I was nearly a half mile away and heard the screaming and swearing...some screaming may have been the kids as they were working to unpin him ...broke all the bones couldn't even cast it for a couple of weeks due to tissue damage...Thank God he wasn't wearing steel toed boots...Dr's said he'd lost his toes
