My preferences run to well researched historic novels....Schaara, Obrien, McDonald...But am currently reading some Stephen King for the first time in years. Currently a collection of short stories, "Some Like it Darker". I forget what a great writer he is, but a fair number of the short stories he seems not to know how to end. I am amazed at this imagination and productivity.

My mother in law gave me the complete 3 volume Civil War by Shelby Foote. I’m almost thru volume 1. I hope to be into volume 2, by the time we visit Gettysburg, in about a month. I’m guessing that battle will be covered in that one.

Just polished off a reprint of Jack O'Connor's early 1950s Gun Book, typical O"Connor wit and common sense. I have probably learned more about firearms, shooting and hunting from reading his stuff than everybody else combined. I think I have just about everything he has authored. Al

This one gave me the slip a few times, but it ended up like all the others, tumbling. H&N resized and weight sorted pellets show a measurable increase in first shot accuracy. SJC

Went to Walmart's site and see they no longer carry higher end Coolers in their house Ozark Trail brand, might be able to find old stock on a shelf. Al

I have been using Coleman coolers almost from day one and have been satisfied on their performance for how I use them. The old green original steel belt model is a favorite of mine and while they are far cheaper than a Yeti, they still are not what I would call cheap. My big party cooler is also a Coleman and again I am totally satisfied with it. I think some of the Ozark Trail Walmart coolers for the money are a best buy, they have roto formed bodies similar to Yetis but at a much better price. Al

Three years ago I got my own little patch of dirt with a small cabin for bowhunting. I pack a small cooler that I used to take to my son's baseball games with drinks and food but 50% of the ice melts overnight. I went online to see what Bass Pro has to offer but some of those Yeti coolers cost are almost a mortgage payment. Can you recommend a cooler that keeps ice from completely melting Friday to Sunday that doesn't break the bank? Thank you.
