  2. After watching Shoots100's videos hunting with a thermal scope I could not stand it any longer and decided it was time for me to give one a try. Did not want to go overboard because for one thing I will not be using it a whole lot and I like to give it a try to see if I liked it. If I fall in love I may upgrade down the road. I wanted something for my Remington 597 22 mag, it is my go to rifle for varmints here on the farm for varmints and has always did it's job out to 150 yards or so. I looked over some entry level scopes and read a pile of reviews and decided on trying a RIX Storm S2, one step up from their entry level model, it should be just the ticket for what I am looking for. Mounted it up on the Remington and charged the battery, now I will wait until I get some good weather and get this rig sighted in. Al

  6. I have looked on the DEC Site with no luck . I must be blind .
  7. There is a form on dec website that you print off and take to your dr to sign then submit to dec... I believe there is a temporary and permanently disabled form... Make sure you get permanent... I believe the temporary is only good for a matter of months

  12. For Sure. I have most of my luck later in the mornings. I places there are lots of hens it’s tough at times to pull them away. 10am or so the ladies head to the nest and the Tom’s start spending time alone strutting and such in fields. Sneak in on them and throw a couple soft calls to get his attention. Many times they will break strut and head your way looking for the lady he heard.
  13. Is it worth going out late morning like 7 sometimes that’s the only time I can get out

  15. If you heard them at 100 yds and you were in the cover of a blind you couldn't be in a better place. Go light on the calling and use different calls because once they tag you as a fake you're outta luck. At first light or even later if you hear them sounding off at a great distance then yes close the gap between you and them and find a good tree to sit by (running and gunning it's called). Good camo and face covering and no movement is a must when they're moving in to your calling. Remember they see way better than we do and can pick you out way before you even know their there
