Hey everybody, we just got back from PA. I bought my girflriend a ram hunt for Christmas @ Mohr's island hunts, in Bainbridge, PA. This was the first time she's taken anything bigger than a squirrel. Say what you will about preserves, but this was a real hunt. The rams were very skittish and spooky. The island is 1 mile long and varies from 200 yds wide to over 400 yds wide. We found a group of 8 rams, and this one was out in the front. She made an awesome 55 yd shot with her Mossberg 20Ga. Broadside, double lung. He dropped and kicked once. I am really proud of her. The guides were great, really putting effort forth, to make it safe and enjoyable for everyone. You can't beat the price. $350.00, included field care and lunch. I talked her into a shoulder mount, and we're having it made into a lot of sausage. She used to be an anti - hunting vegetarian. I guess she has really come around! Can't wait for turkey season!!

Yep don't go there skillet, some people find it hard just to say a simple congrats. As long as you and her had fun that's all that matters.

I once heard a rumor of cabelas in the camden/rome area.... that was like 5 years or so ago. I sure would like to go to one of them, never been to cabelas or bps. I guess im just a hermit or something.

Oh geez here we go, a story is going to come out how he shot it off a ski lift with a crossbow during bow season less than 500 ft from a building over a salt block 1 minute after sundown. Dang that is a sweet deer, love all drops. Makes you wonder how he made it throught the woods?

Great pictures!! I'm cracking up over that last one. He seems to be intrigued by the camera. All I can think of is Daffy Duck (with colors).

The WB will cost only 2-3fps and its a consistant loss so it doesnt make anything less easy to calculate. If your setup is tuned properly, the type of rest you use makes no difference in accuracy.

I am afraid to watch it, I just ate. Hate to lose a good meal.

One thing is for sure, with all of those extra drops it should have been easier to grab a hold of to drag out!.
