  1. CWD is the biggest hoax ever. Just another Govt money grab to get millions in federal funding to do absolutely nothing They first tried to use it as a way of trying to get rid of game farms saying they were the problem until state after state became positive without any farms in them. Then some states have farms but no CWD has ever been found yet it’s been found in the wild in that state. It will really be a thing of the past now that Trump is in there because the republicans will not waste the money like the democrats do. CWD has never, ever hurt any herds in any states and it’s been around for over 60 years. To your question a quarantine will stop them from selling to some other ranches but they can still sell to other positive ranches. So no the positive farm will not skip a beat in sales of their animals. Demand is much to high in every state for that to happen. Even in this state I have yet ever been able to raise enough to cover the demand for them. They are sold before they are even made.

  2. The one piece of info that never seems to show up in any of these articles, is, "Does this now mean that the herd population will now dwindle down dramatically"? Can we now expect to be seeing a whole bunch of dead deer all throughout the PA woods? How serious is this news? Is this the death knell for the species? These scare-articles pop up occasionally, but no one ever researches if this disease is actually significant in any way to the actual health of the herd. Where are the articles about dead deer littering the woods? This disease has been reported for many years now, and there is no cure or effort to combat the disease and yet the impact seems to be minimal.

  3. Not much detail. Look at the writers background.. A filler story until something comes in the arts, food, and entertainment subject matter.

  4. Sorry, no pic. First week of NT muzzleloading season started off real slow as hot as it was, but for thursday a cold front moved in with rain forecast for the pm. I was in my stand at the camp, and about an hour before sun down heard the lovely prancing sound of hooves coming up from behind. A nice three point (2 1/2 year old...they dont get much for antlers up there) wandered into my food plot. Of all things, wouldnt ya know... mis fire with my cap! I shoot league every week with that rifle, and all year never had one! Luckily the silly deer couldnt figure out where I was, and I was able to get another cap on, and boom. I dropped him where he was with my .54 cal. Lyman Great Plains rifle, about 35 yards. I was glad to get the meat early, and really didnt have a chance to get out much until my planned for last week of the season after Thanksgiving....and then wouldnt ya know, heavy snow kept me from driving to the camp. I did walk in, but the snow was deep enough they deer werent moving, and I didnt know how I would get one out anyway, so i bagged it for the season, being grateful for my black powder buck.
