  1. No worries Chris. Just seeing your posts here. No messages on my end either. Thanks for trying to get back to me about it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Hi Chris, I sent you a PM. If you replied, I didn’t get it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Kinda cool that they’re in NY too. Keep us updated! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. That’s going to be a sweet setup! I’m now an Elite shooter as well. I bought a Remedy last summer and liked it so much I bought another one as a backup. That stinks you have to wait til June, but it’ll still be plenty of time to get it dialed before you’re in a tree with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I’ve had a Sot and Climb Wide for years. Got a Hazmore net seat on it. It’s a great option when you know you’ve got straight trees to work with. That said, I have been using a saddle lately and don’t think I’ll be using the climber much. I’ve also got couple stick and hang on setups. Those are getting even less use. 6. Just here to say I dig that Hornady stool! I want one, but they’re pricey! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks for checking Lawd. Al, I believe you are right. I just got some new .284 brass from a guy on GB. Unfortunately, the .257 stuff is even more pricey. The thing that gets me most is that many years back, I sold an Encore pistol barrel in .257 and sent along the (then easy to find) brass with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Thanks for this info. I actually looked for 7x57 brass (half heartedly) and didn’t find any. I’d probably spend the crazy amount for new Nosler .257 Bob brass before going the 6mm route. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I’m looking for some .257 Roberts brass. I’ve got brass to trade or will purchase. Might have other items of interest to trade as well. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Brownell’s and Natchez as well. All of them have been sporadically offering free hazmat. I was looking at load data today on the Hodgdon Powder sight and see you can even order powder right from them now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Al, how does that Winchester .284 shoot? That’s a fine collection you have. I just got my first .284, and am anxious to work up some loads for it. I really like BLR’s as well. I’d love to add more of those to the stable in unique calibers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Al is right, those older Leupolds are going for a lot of money right now. Wolc, I’d strongly recommend a Leupold VX Freedom 1.5-4x20. American made and priced very competitively. Throw a set of Talley extra low mounts on top and you’ll be good to go. If you’re worried about weather, put on some flip up Butler Creek covers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. .25-06 is a nice round. Like Lawd asked…what gun? In many bolt guns, I really prefer a short action. Some, (Tikka is one that comes to mind) do not use a different length action for your typical short and long actions. So, in short, if it’s a Tikka, .25-06 is a no brainer over a short action quarter bore or something close to it. Just my $.02 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. This resonates with me. I’m in Northern Zone, but barely. I really wish they restructure our season here. A 2 week archery season and 6 week rifle season results in a lot of 1.5 year old bucks being killed. I get it up north, but not where I am. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. No, I’m not, and for some reason that seems to be a thing here for me. I’ll pm you my email and cell so we can connect. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Did you see my private message? I do not see one back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Congrats Dino! Very cool! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I shot my heaviest buck to date with a Browning Mountain Ti in 300WSM with a hand loaded 150grain Nosler Ballistic Tip over a healthy dose of H4350 at about 7-10 yards. The bullett put a huge hole on the entrance side, but really lacked penetration. Luckily, a great dog and tracker helped me find it. I almost never hunt that rifle now, but if I do, it’s with a 165 Accubond. I use the same in .308. My point, as others have said, is to use the right bullet. Those Ballistic Tips were way over the recommended max of 3000 fps impact velocity out of that rifle. At 200 yards, it would’ve been a very different outcome. At that close distance with that velocity, that bullet “blew up.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. PM sent yesterday afternoon. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Looks good, thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Cool idea! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I hope it does, and that you enjoy it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. 7.4 lbs! Dang! They are cool though. I’ve got a Henry 45-70 with a Leupold vx3 1.5-5x20 that I might bring out a couple times just for fun this year. I’m not sure what it weighs, but it doesn’t feel heavy. Being short (the gun) helps that I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. One with tons of good cover behind it to keep me from being skylighted. I do not love pine trees. Actually, I do not love pine pitch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. That looks good for everything except the bow. The hooks look like they wouldn’t work for a bow. Am I missing something? Appreciate the idea! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
