Often times you can get get a thread protector that is no bigger diameter than the barrel, so you can still get the gas block off if needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

School me on selective herbicides

Thanks for the input guys. Slay and Arrest will be pricey for that acreage, but sounds like it might be the only option for the chicory and clover. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
School me on selective herbicides
onlybrowning posted a topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
I have two fields planted in Whitetail Institute Fusion (clover and chicory). Total is about 9 acres. I planted it last year after plowing, discing, then a cultimulcher. Prep was great, rain was not. It was ok, but grew in a bit thin. About halfway through March this year, I frost seeded it. I still have some bare spots, but I feel I need to target the weeds coming in. What can I use instead of the expensive Whitetail Institute’s Slay and Arrest to selectively kill invaders to this plot? I have a PTO sprayer. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
What weapon will you be using on May 1st ?

Have that same gun. Got it for my 12th birthday. Was $74.99 at Walmart. Handed it off to a youth hunter to use last weekend. Great beginner shotgun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Thordsen stock sling studs
onlybrowning replied to onlybrowning's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I love this and will get it for the Thordsen’s I have with that (FSR 15). The new Thordsen’s do not have that there, unfortunately. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Thordsen stock sling studs
onlybrowning replied to onlybrowning's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
No threads anywhere in the stock for a sling stud. My thought was drill the hole and thread in the stud with epoxy. Curious if anyone has done something similar. I also like the idea of the insert, just not sure how I’d go about it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I’d like to install a “normal” sling swivel stud on my Thordsen stocks and wondered if anyone here has done this and can share their success. Ultimately, I think I can find a spot that the stud could go, but I’ve never installed one into plastic. Any help would be appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I grind everything but my backstraps and tenderloins with most of my deer . As long as they’re vacuum sealed, I’ve never had an issue, even two a half seasons in. You’ll see it if they’re freezer burned. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have in laws in lower Italy that love to hunt and eat small birds that I surmise are like our doves. I’ve eaten them in their pasta dishes, but never seen them “on the hoof.” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I Always Brake for Animals....
onlybrowning replied to Uncle Nicky's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
In the motorcycle safety course they tell you if you could eat it in one meal, don’t try to avoid it. If you can’t, you’ll want to avoid it. Good advice I thought! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I was in high school, junior year, math class. Teacher across the hall ran in and said turn on the tv. From that moment on all day we went from class to class watching the news. I’m a principal in the district now and still the hair stands up on the back of my neck when I walk into those classrooms. The TVs are gone and some of the teachers are too, but the spot where I watched the planes hit the towers causes me to pause and reflect every time. This morning as I read my morning announcements to my elementary kids with the flag at half mast I realized how important it is for us to educate our children about this day. Increasing ph quickly
onlybrowning replied to onlybrowning's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Oh yes, I’ve seen this as well. I actually plan to call them to see the cost. I’m a firm believer in the “if it sounds too good to be true...” thing, but it’s worth a call. Hopefully someone on here has experience with this same predicament. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Hi all, I’m new here. I’ve been planting food plots for a few years and wanted to inquire about what you all do to raise ph in spring? Seems as though lime takes a long while to do much. I need to raise ph by 1-1.5 points on about 8-10 acres. Thanks in advance for your input. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
