@Yorehntr Even the Googans can kill nice deer on the Island, we have so many. I see it a lot like fishing in that, we are better fisherman than the guys in Florida. They have so many more fish that it is easy to catch a mess of them. Now when you catch a mess of them here while there aren’t a true mess to be caught, You are a good fisherman. The guys in areas with very few deer that consistently bag many or “trophies”, them boys can hunt. Me, I still have thousands of questions, the answers to which will make me a much better hunter than I am now. That’s why I am on this forum, to glean knowledge. No newbie or googan for sure, but not going to be hired for a tv show anytime soon.

Yore, maybe you can help me. Tell me wat I am doing wrong. I found this dead head and posted the pic the day I found it (1st pic, DEC 29, 2019). I wanted to get it down to bone and do a euro (never tried one). I figured I would let nature dot eh dirty work for me. Please see the results after sitting outside all summer. My mentor let me hunt behind his house. He said I could take anything I wanted except this one buck. I’m thinking, “yeah right, I will never see that one”, and of course, I agreed. Right around 9:30 this guy he described walks out and directly under my tree. I’m talking 3 yard shot. I get done and run to the house and explain my encounter. Joe looks at me and says, “why didn’t you shoot him?” “Because you made me promise!”, I said. He told me it was a test of character and I should have taken him...WTF?? Thanks Joe, lol.

For me, I cannot get past the fact that the Dems want to open our borders and give everything away for free. The working class will have to pay for all this free stuff. The gov’t already gets too much of my money, don’t want them to take more. There is no incentive for people to go out and work when you can make just as much or more from sitting on you azz and the working idiot down the road pays for it.

It would appear that a deer fridge should be my next purchase. The winters have been pretty mild the last few down here. Heck warm compared to some on this forum, lol. I had a total of 3/4” of snow last year. Not that I’m complaining about that. It rarely gets into the 40s until late November (if at all) here, at least lately. I think the farmer’s almanac is calling for a colder winter this year, tho.

Biden will only last a few months, that’s what they are counting on. So do you really think that Kamala will make this country better after how she has promised to make it worse? If you strictly want doe, you can go to almost any pice off woods that you can get into and be successful.
