I have many St Croix...great rods. I was thinking about making a new rod...thinking fluorescent green with fluorescent orange for colors. Not sure yet.

I have never made my own safety line, but I have made my own lineman’s strap out of an extra 1/2” dock line that was new last year. Line and Prussic are same size/same rope. I have hung off the prussic while it was on the dock line, no problem. I do need to replace my safety line. Mine was the recalled one from Dick’s. Never brought it back. Question: when you get to height and climb onto your stand, do you remain connected to the safety line, or do you connect to a different one? I have been reconnecting to the tree strap that came with my HSS harness. Last year was the first season i used a hang on. Still working out some kinks.

I did that, ONCE...I must have been snoring because when i woke up, there were two doe at 10 yards staring at me with their heads titled to one side.

If they don’t cheat, they can’t win.

That is wrong on so many levels...first they are hunters, what’s up with that? Second, if you have a tag and its in season, tel them to go fly a kite. Third, Cape buffalo and elephant actually pose a danger to people under the right circumstances and they need to be taken out to protect people. If a lion was eating villagers, a buffalo gored the woman doing laundry, or an elephant squished a kid, I guess you would be the bad guy for helping out, huh? AND THEY WERE HUNTERS?!?!?

Cost of materials and manufacturing...they put out an inferior product to maintain profit margins.
