Upstate, downstate, none of that Is what’s important. This is about containment. As an “Islander” I agree with BM7600. I came out here to get away form the crap in the Burroughs. IMHO, sending the infected from a high concentration area “down here” to a low concentration area “up there” is counterintuitive. Why risk making more healthy people sick? This is about beds, more to the point, the lack there of, right? I say all possibilities be exhausted first. Start with the stadiums. There are no sports now right? Put beds there. Lots of beds in all the empty hotels too. The next hurtle becomes hospital equipment. Has anyone tried to purchase an early 1940’s automobile? You can’t. Why?? Because they weren’t made. ALL the auto manufacturers were helping the war effort. Mandate they do that now. Re-tool and make hospital equipment. Finally, the inmates. They fit where they were, leave them there.
