Little squirrel's birthday is coming up in May. This is a big one. 12 years old!! He gets to shoot this fall! He loves being outdoors with his dad. He can't wait to hunt. He also loves fishing. (That's my boy! ) He has been fishing with me since shortly after he could walk. This year he asked me to make him a custom fishing rod. Since I am a part time rod crafter, amongst other things, I thought what better gift for this years birthday. (I can't wait till he asks for a bow) He has displayed enough responsibility with the store bought rods that I think he is ready for something custom. All the decisions have been made and I should be placing the order today. He wants red, silver and blue to be similar to my "Murica" rod. He likes the contrast of the silver better than the white. Ok no prob. It is HIS custom, after all. I will be going with a Seeker blank, carbon fiber construction, medium heavy, fast taper, 7'6", rated for 10-30# test. I will shorten this to 7' to get the taper and action where I want it. To that I will be adding the following: Custom cut and shaped Eva foam grips (dark blue), Fuji "door knob" butt cap (black), Fuji graphite real seat with trigger (black), Fuji double foot K series Alconite Guides (black frame). Guides will be double wrapped with accent wraps on the ends. He wants to go with an alternating double chevron butt wrap in front of the fore grip. I will attached pics for examples. This will be used mostly for wreck and ocean fluke fishing. It will need to be capable of hanging up to 6 ounces on the line. We will be using 20# braid for sensitivity. I will continue to update and post pics to this thread, as progress is made, with the final pic being the first fish he catches with his new rod.

That post was from forever ago and was only a bit of levity. I have not, however, eaten Chinese food but for different reasons. The one I like is closed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

When that comment was made almost nothing was known about the virus. Let’s face it, the man could produce a cure and the dems would condemn him for it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Political humor

HOW MORAL ARE YOU? This takes less than one minute and is incredibly accurate...well worth the little bit of effort I promise. This test has only one question, but it's a very important one. By giving an honest answer you will discover where you stand morally. The test features an unlikely and completely fictional situation in which you will have to make a decision. Only you will know the results, so remember that your answer needs to be honest. THE SITUATION: You are in Miami with chaos all around you caused by a hurricane. There is a flood of biblical proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot career-making photos. There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury. THE TEST: Suddenly you see a woman in the water She is fighting for her life trying not to be taken down with the debris. Your move closer. Somehow the woman looks like... Good Heavens it's Nancy Pelosi. At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take her under forever. YOU HAVE TWO OPTIONS: You can save the life of Nancy Pelosi OR you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting the last minutes of one of the world's most powerful women hell-bent on the destruction of the USA. THE QUESTION: Here's the question and please give an honest answer: Would you: A) select high contrast color film, or... go with the classic simplicity of black and white Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Ok so I got the mail and brought it in. On the way to wash my hands I realize I am rubbing my eye. Great. So I wash my hands and literally wash my eyeball. Yes with soap. Now I can’t see. It burns too much to open. My wife says I’m an idiot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
