  1. These guys are all the same...it comes down to whatever suites their purpose. I live near an "estate" that has certain historical significance. It is 620 some odd acres of you can't go in there, mostly wooded too. Def not open for hunting, yet I hear guns fired in there all season (bow season) and then see Park Rangers driving away with MONSTER bucks in their truck.
  2. She would make me live outside with my puppies lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I was in a stand. Saw a total of 7. She was down by 8am. She stepped out at 45 yds. She was with 2 others. They actually came back to her after she went down. Then I looked over my left shoulder and another four were hung up about 50 until they decided to leave. I was home and she was hanging by 915. About to eat some backstrap. Tomorrow is sausage and jerky time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Let me introduce all of you to the newest woman in my life... Her name is Jane. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Benchmade makes a great product. I have several and love them.
  6. Awesome idea (on a trailer). Awesome that the boys were involved. Awesome results (shelter, buck down). Awesome that the boys can go with you and you still have a chance at a harvest hehe. I would love to do something like this also.
  7. Not if you post signage telling them they are not allowed lol
  8. Ok so what about a "pre-ban" gun...meaning pistol grip and removable mag? Something that was purchased long before this dumb law went into effect? I'm asking for a friend, of course.
  9. English bulldog for hunting? What is their forte? Wife mentioned she would like one. We may have a winner
  10. She said all her neighbors hated them (her fam) because of the noise and she hated the potholes in the yard. Apparently, they quite loud as well as quite the diggers. Too bad. I read their nose is second only to a bloodhound in the whole of the dog kingdom. Also, everything I read said they are good family dogs.
  11. I love poodles because of my sister's dog. DUDE...that dog has dreadlocks!! I'd name him Rasta lol
  12. This was my first thought but my wife had one as a child and adamantly said no to this breed. If I got one we would both be in his dog house lol.
  13. A poodle...really? That's awesome! My sister had a small version, Rusty. Loved that dog!! Standard is the big one, right?
  14. Not only was I looking for some advice but thought it was a good topic for a thread in general. Because there are so many choices, I was looking for what most fellas have and what each breed does best. For me, want a dog for pheasant, rabbit, buddy for the house. 15. OK so we have airedales, labs, spaniels, pointers, boykins. Who else has a hunting dog? What kind?
  16. Hmmm...size doesn't matter...at least not here lol. Less hair, more specifically less shedding is preferred or I would have another shepherd. I work 8-10 hours a day 5 days a week and he would be home at that time. I am far more comfortable with an energetic dog that the mrs. I have no problem devoting the time I do have to my dog, just don't have an overabundance of it.
