  1. The DEC releases pheasants in specific sites every year. Not sure how many remain this far into the season but this should help get you started: https://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/9349.html
  2. There's a reason why many outspoken life-long Republicans and lifetime NRA members are voicing distaste with where Trump took the party. But this isn't anything new. The debate about which party best represents hunters had been ongoing for decades. Here's a short interview with Randy Newberg, a conservative pro-gun hunter. Take note of the date before you read: https://www.bozemandailychronicle.com/news/wildlife/hook-and-bullet-politics-many-sportsmen-fed-up-with-gop/article_6754d86a-11f0-543d-88d5-795dca2166fd.html
  3. A sourpuss or two complaining that my posts don't comply with far-right quackery hardly rises to the level of controversy...
  4. My 'QAnon not mixing with hunting' thread was a commentary about the lack of judgment and the woods. Although the number of QAnon believers is astonishing, it doesn't actually align with conservative ideology. That said, we should certainly not impose a political litmus test when inviting newcomers to a hunt. Doing so would be the fastest way to further alienate hunting from the largely uninitiated citizenry.
  5. It’s real. Happened this week. Search bear chases skier Romania. There’s another video where the skier tosses a backpack to distract the bear.
  6. Noooo!! Not Norwex! This is more offensive than anything Trump ever said!
  7. You nailed it, not concerned about it. And anyways, I’ve shared pictures. Wolc just wants something with a little more skin
  8. You’re gonna write me off?? You can’t possibly think your approval matters. Look, the choice doesn’t have to be between far right quack or socialist. There’s a lot of room in the center - I encourage you to explore it.
  9. No, it wasn’t a question. It was a misplaced expectation that I would engage with your musings. You must have me confused with someone else. I’m the guy who doesn’t deny reality (or history).
  10. What's really sad is how mentally inflexible you must be to struggle with the idea that others with different (ie. more grounded) perspectives may share a hobby you enjoy. Just baffling...
  11. Once again, there are other sites where soliciting pictures is more appropriate. Apps too.
  12. Who would've guessed that the ranks of QAnon is filled with such delicate daisies...
  13. You didn't strike me as a reader. What's your favorite book on the matter?
  14. This is ridiculous and it's important that we speak out against such bs. The idea that huntingNY (or hunting in general) has a "flavor" that must be protected from "outsiders" is not only reprehensible but it's fundamentally incorrect. Hunters represent a diversity of backgrounds and viewpoints and we should celebrate that. If you're concerned about hunting disappearing as the number of hunters dwindle, the best way to fight against that is to invite people from all walks of life to join in. And to be clear, this notion that voting Biden is voting against the interest of hunters is absurd. There are many cross-party considerations that all hunters should take into account when voting. Giving too much weight to this longstanding fear of gun control legislation is as dumb as it sounds.
  15. No, you don’t get to decide which convictions matter and which ones don’t. Obstruction of justice is pretty bad in anyone’s book
  16. You need to settle down and take your meds. I don't know what fantasy world you live in but I'm not going to keep giving you a pass for your mental illness.
  17. The Russia investigation, led by a former (Republican appointed) FBI director found multiple violations of the law, including obstruction of justice. The report did not say that "they didn't find anything on Trump" and Mueller was clear about this after Trump's people claimed exoneration. They found that they couldn't prosecute a sitting president so they wouldn't make a case against him. I understand that the goalposts are always shifting for Trump and co, but the Russia investigation is not something to gloat about if you're a Trump apologist.
  18. What are you looking for, a murder conviction? At this stage, process and money define the line between corruption and business as usual, a line the Trump administration repeatedly disregarded.
  19. Lol, I thought you were making the case for Trump, not against him. This article should help you sort out your confusion. It details the history of inappropriate relationships with Russian in the Trump administration. Plenty of illegalities too if that’s what you want to hang your hat on... https://www.businessinsider.com/who-has-been-charged-in-russia-investigation-mueller-trump-2017-12
