Oh it most definitely will make the bang go up a decibel or two. But crazy how much it reduces the punch.
-
Have to take you gun to your local gunsmith. This is mine on my 300Wby mag. Had to have it just to shoot the dang thing. They will calm the beast in any rifle. They will thread the end of your barrel and the break screws right on.

And look where we are today. Just like the last 10 years. Me adding actual hunting and outdoor related material to a hunting site and you once again adding nothing like normal and crying about others. Guess that shows ya something huh? We can only hope that John does pop back in one day and clean house of those few left that continue to degrade him and the site while pushing the wares of other sites. Eddie threw others off for saying the name of the other site so it’s beyond me why he does not toss the few that offer nothing to this site, downgrade the site and promote other sites. But I guess that’s on him to decide at this time.

Have no reason to be miserable in my world. Absolutely nothing missing in it and most definitely don’t have hypocrites in it that’s for sure. And miserable for calling someone out? A repeat offender at that. I think not.
-
Exactly. Same hypocrites continue to spew useless banter. Congrats on that !!
-
Nah. No bashing with words like… I don’t think I missed anything here. Or. Saying come some place that you can get answers to your posts again! Nah no bashing on the site with those words. Typical Hypocritical Bash.
-
Exactly. Yet the same ones… just like the original owner of the other site did…come here pushing their wares over and over. Instant Ban! Funny thing is one look over there and it’s the same exact posters every single day and they blow it up like it’s a rockin place. I can live without seeing post after post of a so called top Turkey expert that has not shot a mature Tom in years, or a guy that says antlers mean nothing to him yet after years and he shoots one with more then 4 points it’s shown 35 times on every post made. Or maybe what kind of alcohol you are drinking. Yeah, not so much.

Maybe you can try it at the bench with the sled and get an idea on how much more pressure there is from the 243 and see. If not a crazy amount maybe even an added recoil pad or some kind of pad on the shoulder under the coat. Not worth any damage to jump up for sure.

Kinda cool he got himself a goose dinner. Crafty as a Fox but them Canadians are a pretty wary bird. Can kinda see that goose sitting behind a dip or something with its head tucked from the cold before it got so rudely interrupted. Fox wins this time!!

Myself I hunted with a 270 for years before our property grew to bigger fields with 400yd shots frequently needed so jumped up to a 300Wby Mag. The 270 will have a little bigger punch to the shoulder then the 243 for sure. I would guess you would handle the difference in punch unless the shoulder is in real rough shape. Sight the 270 in with the lead sled so you feel nothing as you get it to tack driving and with the excitement of the hunt/shot you won’t notice the little kick.

And the ones above that keep bashing this site while promoting the other site should be thrown out on their ass and not allowed to speak a word on this site regardless of the length of time it’s left breathing.

Kinda in line with all the new Air Rifles that are shooting arrows at 450ps. Kinda neat idea. The haters would have to come up with something different then “Crossguns”

More time in the woods, more closer one on one interaction with the animal. The xtra tag and the challenge of only killing a top end, smartest animal in the woods at close range.
-
Behind wire fawn mortality is the highest of any age group. They get hit with pneumonia so,so easy. Just with normal weather changes of cool nights and moisture will take ‘em out! Wet,cold and windy temps are big time killers.

No doubt. First few snows melted and ran off.

With like 4ft of snow ours are sticking pretty close to the woods and brushy creek lines. Scratching out a living for 6 more weeks. Per Phil anyways.

CWD is the biggest hoax ever. Just another Govt money grab to get millions in federal funding to do absolutely nothing They first tried to use it as a way of trying to get rid of game farms saying they were the problem until state after state became positive without any farms in them. Then some states have farms but no CWD has ever been found yet it’s been found in the wild in that state. It will really be a thing of the past now that Trump is in there because the republicans will not waste the money like the democrats do. CWD has never, ever hurt any herds in any states and it’s been around for over 60 years. To your question a quarantine will stop them from selling to some other ranches but they can still sell to other positive ranches. So no the positive farm will not skip a beat in sales of their animals. Demand is much to high in every state for that to happen. Even in this state I have yet ever been able to raise enough to cover the demand for them. They are sold before they are even made.

Have A Great One!!
-
Will keep working towards keeping the herds and the land in step with each other. So far about 100 or so hanging around enjoying the winter. About half way thru winter and the herd is looking healthy. Love seeing great numbers staying healthy.
-
4 more feet coming in to this area today so hopefully whatever snow you had on the roof melted off before the deep freeze and new snow of the next 3 days. A snowy winter this year for sure.
-
Exactly. And when it comes to personal limits and taking hunting to the max I find and only kill mature bucks. Tough to try and Train a mature buck.
-
Drones used for anything more then head count of a property or locating a wounded animal.
-
Imagine that. We love the showing of the true colors though. Speaks Volumes!
-
Exactly. And he is far from the only one. There is always the same 4-5

lol. 3 guys and 2 guns! Which one was the dog for the day. I remember when there was that many bunnies to be had in a day of brush busting.
