Exactly right. And you are entitled to your opinion but that’s where it stops. It’s nobody’s business how someone else spends their time or their money or what on. Just as it’s no bow hunters business if another hunter wants to use a crossbow on their property.. if legal of course.. but you see them all up in arms over that. Your free range spike theory of course is another opinion. I can shoot a spike about any givin day on multiple properties but I can say I can go into a high fence area and harvest a certain buck by going on pictures alone in the same amount of time. Others know the same hence the ducking of the opportunity time after time by all offered.

Yeah. And again if you were to really pay attention you would see that this post right here once again proves the validity of those words all these years. Does this site here itself not have a contest where a person gets more points for killing antlers compared to no antlers? I rest my case.
-
Thanks for the good words. And your right. To each their own. I can also guarantee you that these so called high fence haters would not say one word if it was the killing of Doe only inside those fences. And then they try to play off the words that antlers and inches don’t rule today’s deer hunting. I can also guarantee you that most any sportsman would give their right arm to be able to do what I do everyday. No boss for the last 21 years, make a better income than most, every day to hunt or fish or anything else I might feel like doing and spending all the time I want with family and friends. But there will always be haters and as you see most will not step up to the plate when called out. Oh well. Just another day.

You right to a point. In Texas people can buy and release deer on their property. So it is important both ways. Keeping the great blood inside to change the gene in the herd is important.
-
Yup again all talk and no nad’s. Typical.
-
Are they still a Songbird in Ny state?
-
I guess you do. So why run the mouthpiece when you have the chance to shove your so called facts right up my ass? Fact is you 100% know you will get your ass handed to you. Your type are all the same. So I guess until you can prove someone wrong about a subject your thoughts really don’t matter. And after 20 plus years of doing this and the industry only growing it shows your thoughts really don’t matter. When you are ready to man up feel free to get back with me.

I work in high fence every day of my life. Don’t need to hunt it also. I kill 2 large antlered bucks every year so the job still gets done. And I don’t want your gratitude about high fence I want you to admit your failure when you can’t get the job done in a so called pen. Funny I always get the same answer from your type when the rubber hits the road. Speaks Volumes!!

My guess the Holier type that complain about other hunters have never even killed a book buck in any area let alone try to tackle any Adk buck. Hence is one of the reason’s they complain about others killing them. It’s the American way these days.
-
So you seem to be the topics mouthpiece on the subject why don’t you accept the challenge givin? I will give you a free shot at the biggest buck you will ever kill in your lifetime free of charge. You enter the enclosed area for 2 full days of hunting and when you walk out of that enclosed you will be interview by someone about your last two days. And of course get some great pic’s of the biggest buck you have ever killed in your life.
-
My guess would be that 99.9% would be considered most. And your right. You or anyone else should have no problem how or what someone else does with their time or money. The same people that complain about high fence are the same type of people that complain about crossbow in archery season.
-
So you would have no problem taking a buck in an enclosure givin 2 days to kill said buck?
-
Never hunted high fence.
-
So you would be up to the challenge?
-
Real hunters? Are those the same ones that get caught shooting waterfowl with lead shot or no plug? Or the 100’s caught every year shooting deer at night with lights? And the list goes on. Trust me. Anyone that has an issue with hunters could give two shits where or what they hunt.
-
I’m sure there are some that don’t run places prob as they should but most places like that don’t stay in business long. I love how many…..Even most on here… have never stepped foot on a high fence operation but are full of opinion. I can also tell you that I could take those same people to ranches and give them a pic of a buck and 2 days to kill that buck and they would come out with their balls in their hands. And prob still call it not hunting.
-
Every doe sold goes towards the bottom line just like every buck. Care to show where I was bragging about anything by answering a question asked. Don’t have to reference anything. It’s a fact that most would accept a free ride to any high fence hunt.
-
Who says it has to be antlers. Meat hunts happen every day. Flatheads get dropped by the hundreds.
-
Well when about everyone that raise Whitetails pulls 6 figures that shows what the true size and strength of where the industry sits. And the same hunting forum that promotes shooting other stocked hand raised game! Is that the forum you speak of. Hypocrite Much?
-
Because 99.9% would and truth be known you would also. Free trip to Texas 10.000 acre ranch. Riiiiiight.
-
The really wealthy guys shoot the 400-500-600 inch bucks just for something to do. And you the common folk or anyone else will hear nothing about it anywhere. Most high fence hunts are 130 -180 class Whitetails and then 180-220. After that it’s the very wealthy guys that continue on. There are ranches in Ny that make over 500 grand on corporate hunts alone. Wine and dine and streak and lobster laying in the hot tub for 3 days. And kill the biggest buck of their life. I know people who shoot 3-4 200 inch bucks every year behind fence and donates every ounce of meat. Most people are clueless as to how big high fence really is in this world. And most of those involved that make 6 figures a year raising the greatest animal on the planet could care less.
-
You bet your ass they would. Just like they would hunt stocked birds or harvest a Buffalo for the freezer or what have you. Again when it comes to Whitetail’s it’s all about the antlers and even the ones that can’t afford and complain about it would take a 200 inch whitetail hunt in a Ny minute.
-
And most of those were you and me of the past. The older people get, the less land people have and the lack of decent sized animals to take will continue to push those ranches. Hunting as I knew it when I started 45 years ago has changed 3 fold and hunting in the next 10-20-30 years will continue to change 3 fold again.
-
Exactly. Half the so called hunters that bitch about high fence I promise you I could put them in a high fence preserve with a trail cam pic and give them 2 days with any weapon they want and they wound walk out with only their pride in check. There are no doubt some places that should not be because of size or actions. In this day it’s not real tough to kill a deer if your any kind of hunter at all and the fact is they are not making land anymore but make people every minute. One day you will see hunting done mostly on high fence properties. Hell Ny is one of the smallest when it comes to high fence and there is a shortage of animals every single year. To each their own but high fence hunting will only continue to grow and like anything else the people that do the most work to keep it real will continue to have great success.
