I have both the set of Fanatic and the set of Incinerator and walking with that stuff on in temps above 25-30 degrees is tough Can’t imagine a “Thicker” person wearing that stuff anywhere but sitting.

You will love duck hunting. We have those Canadian blacks and Mallards swamp our place. Nice creek runs thru about 800 acres of bean and corn fields. The sky just turns black with them some years.

Not so sure you have the Covid statement right as I know a few wives and kids of other fellas that jumped on the easy route and some of them actually hunted. And again some got the tags just so the husbands could have more to fill… Another reason the state is clueless as to real population. If they wanted numbers down their smarter move would have been Xbow in full archery. There would have been double the deer take then then there will be in a late season muzzy/archery season. Hell they could just issue twice as many to the farmer for the so called damage they do. And weather or not in this neck of the woods the deer are already grouping up for the winter adjustment. But of course we have already had some winter up here.

Yet we just had record numbers of new hunters get their hunting license online for this past fall. You say there are so many deer in some areas…which we know there are in local no hunting areas and 1000 acre lots like mine that are loaded with deer because of smart management…yet so many that post in here complain of no deer sighting? I really hope you don’t think those white shirts were thinking of your good time with family as the reason to make that extra season? And when there would be many faster ways to control the so called over population. For a state not to include Xbow into the archery season when they say there is a deer population problem yet add a season late into the year after the deer are pressed to the max and maybe even started to yard up is just stupidity but that’s not a shocker for this state that’s for sure.

Oh so many around these parts would collect the old welfare check and sell 3-4 five gallon buckets full every day. Glad to see the limits.

Talks a mean game? Not sure where my hunting success has anything to do with season lengths? The bone speaks for itself year in and year out for those that are successful as far as that goes.

Perfect post. All fact. But fact still is it was your and his choices. That does not mean we need months long deer season to cater to those that choose a different path. Some fools say there are no hunters in the woods. Then the hunters in the woods are saying…and showing they can’t fill their tags and then you have a state saying to many deer yet let’s give the hunters…… which some say there are none…more time in the same woods to kill the overpopulation…That’s not there… With the weakest weapons in the arsenal that they could choose from. Perfect!!!

Yeah but your so called deer professors say you have a deer problem. Your like oh so many others that don’t really have a Whitetail herd and can’t fill all the tags you have giving the 3 plus months one can chase them with all kinds of weapons. And yet some idiots think it’s a good thing to go out harassing the few if any deer they may have in an area because some idiot in a tie that never stepped in the woods say they can. This is just why this site is loaded with posts of people bitching they only see tiny deer or no deer at all.

So know it all. Why is it if the woods are empty of hunters and why the extra season? You say no hunters so the frigging woods should be teaming with deer and every hunters tags would be full. Why are the sending your so called no hunters out in the woods an extra week with the weakest of weapons to kill the so called overpopulation of Whitetails? You just earned the idiot post of the thread.

Nobody cares when you fill anything. Point being you said yourself that you did not hunt. Your choice. The state should not add time to put more pressure on the herd because a guy chooses not to hunt during the regular season.

True That. But to use deer as the only excuse to get out and get whatever one needs out of woods experience is weak at best.

Easy now. I do more for the common folk then anyone else I know. And Santa better have deep pockets. That size will bring a cool 6-7 grand easy. But I would give him a package discount.

One does not need a gun to enjoy all the sights and sounds of the woods. Actually hearing that does get kinda old from some. Oh I do it for the enjoyment of the woods and such yet never see a wood lot for 9 months of the year.

Your right to a point. Some use family as his want to hunt. Well every other season is open besides Whitetails.

There you have it. So a hunter does not get it done because they don’t have what it takes to see them so let’s throw a few more weeks at them and pressure the whole system even more. With the flawed logic of sending poor hunters out with a couple of the weakest weapons we hunt with with the thinking from the DEC that they want more deer killed. That my friend is what’s flawed.
