I know I'm not as old as some folk's but there is one thing that is still the same.This is a guessing game can any one tell me the only thing that is still the same it has to do with money,thats the only hint I can give.This has been the same way my entire life and most of your's also.

Had they not built houses on the prop I would move back to my childhood home.It was a very nice farm house that my parents rented on 600 acre's woods fields streams and ponds,Itryed talking my Dad into buying but he was happy with renting.I now own my little home for 6 years and dont think I could get a better deal any where else,so I'm going to stay here in Dutchess county.

This was great in several way's enjoying a good hunt and donating to feed familys in need.I have no problem with these hunts,its nice to see some people trying to help others that need the extra help.If our season was still open I would do the same.

We are planning a 2 week trip to Franklin County and have been looking at some what sound to be nice campgrounds.We have narrowed it down to 2 different ones.My choice is pineridge the wifes is buckpond possibly a week at each but I would rather set up one time for the 2 weeks.Maybe you'all have other suggestions we may take interest in.This will be the first 2 weeks of June 2013

Got 12-18" here hard to measure with drifts.Not exactly what I hoped for but just as fun.Shovels were glad to be off the hook and doing the work

Im in need to purchase a new set.Most sets i have looked at are junk can anyone recomend a good brand/set I dont mind spending a little more for good quality knives.Im realy looking at somthing thats going to last.

Winds picking up with few flurrys here.Shovels on standby and chicken soup on the stove.Gonna sit back and watch the snow fall.

It's about time we get some havnt had very much here in eastern NY in a very long time,Yea we have gotten a couple inches but nothing like western NY.I kinda miss the winters we use to have when I was a child this is going to be fun.

At this time my cost for heating my home is 1/3 what I have spent in the past.Just got oil delivery only took 80 gal to top off tank,along with that only burned just over a ton of pellets.My cost so far is $500 for 4 months,these pellet stoves rock.

Less than 24 hours to be prepared Nemo will be here.Weather center says this storm could cripple the north east and some places know could get as much as 3' of snow,going to be a storm for record books.

Yes shot placement is indeed the most important.I use mine all the time for small game and enjoy using it.I was just currious as to why we cant use them in NY thats all.

I neve mentioned any thing about recoil,I hunt mostly with 16 guage I do own several 12's and 20 guages recoil has nothing to do with any part of my question.

Possible Blizzard for Friday.8 to 12" expected and as much as 2' in some higher terrain,been a long time since we so that kind of snow here in eastern Dutchess County. :yahoo:

I dont know about them being underpowered out to a 100yrds should be no prob.The led/bullet is much larger than some rifle bullets,the 243 has a much smaller bullet and that exepted as a deer/biggame gun/rifle.sure a lot smaller than the 410.

I know they are plenty powerful enough to hunt biggame.My question is why it's not legal to use them in NY state?I hunt in a shotgun only county and they are a shot gun so why can they not be used for biggame.Also these 410's are very accurate we also cannot use the 28 guages what the heck.

Thats a fare group you want your shots a little high at 50yrd's and from looking at your shots you should be good to 125yrds.
