This is my favorite way. 1. Dip squirrel in egg. 2. Roll it in bread crumbs. 3. Brown it in olive oil and butter. (cast iron is the best) 4. After it's browned on all sides, add equal parts white wine and orange juice. 5. Simmer it until tender.

If you are a smaller person, or if recoil bothers you, I think the .243 would be a better choice than an '06. Any of the 3 will kill a deer, no problem. The biggest thing is shot placement anyhow. A 22 thru the lungs will kill a lot quicker than a 12 gauge in the guts.

Our barn @ camp fell over and we burned it piece by piece. This was back before I quit boozing, so when I got all plastered, I threw a damn carpet on the fire (I'm not proud of it). It was nasty, and sure enough, the smoke went right down the valley to the neighbor's house. He came up the street to complain, and right away I felt like a jerk. Anyway, we worked it out, I apologized, and now we hunt with eachother.

I live near the city, and it's funny, I see tracks in areas where I would never imagine a deer. No idea where they come from or where they go. I've even come up on a doe and 2 fawns on our street in the middle of the night, walking down the sidewalk. Looking for shrubs to kill, probably.

I'm getting my black one back from the taxidermist in a few weeks, I'll post a pic of it then. Haven't been out much in the last week, finally got a little overtime.

I hear you on the skeletons, definitely have a bunch of my own. Early, nobody here is being bigoted or mean - spirited. There has been no reference made to race. Lazy people come in all races. If I have a problem with laziness, how does that make me bigoted or mean spirited? How is it narrow minded to tell someone that if they are capable, then they need to work for what they have in life? I didn't start this thread to argue with non - believers, you either believe or you don't. I would like everyone to believe, but it's an individual's choice.

So, who was it intended for? I can have an opinion without judging. Never once did I say my sh*t didn't stink. As it's been said on this thread several times, we are talking about lazy, capable people who are abusing the system. Not the genuinely handicapped.
