  1. I don't like the liver, maybe a mental thing. I don't like the thought of eating filtering organs. But I love the heart, fried in bacon grease and apple cider, so maybe I'm just weird.
  2. I didn't see any restrictions on the hunting area.
  3. Taxes on the finger lakes are unreal. I heard that the only lake in the USA more expensive to live on than Canandaigua, is lake Tahoe. My Dad used to live on Canandaigua, but they taxed him right out of there.
  4. Definitely! See you there probably. I'm the guy with the big head.
  5. There is a squirrel hunt next weekend in Holley. It's $20.00 per 2 man team. You have to register by tomorrow. Here's the link www.holleyfire.com I'll be there. There's a dinner and a gun raffle.
  6. Good luck! You going after predators, or sneaking over to the Brown's and shooting one of their heifer's?
  7. Thanks. I'll definitely put some pics up.
  8. All strings should have some type of serving, even long / recurve bows (around the where the string hits the limb tips). As for how long a string lasts, it depends on how much you shoot, if you keep it dry, and if you wax it, etc. I've had strings last a long time.
  9. And I thought so highly of you......
  10. That pic definitely fits you. What's he always say?........."DUMBASS" LOL.
  11. That extra wrap is called serving, if it fails, especially around your cams, your string is in danger.
  12. I booked a "hunt" with this place for March 14-16. The owner, Mark Clark, seems like a great guy, and has been really helpful as far as helping me set up the hunt & making sure he is ready for my son & I. Say what you will about preserves, but I've heard some good things about this one. I KNOW that this is more of a shopping trip than a hunt, but it will be fun, and the freezer will be full. I'll be using my bow. Looking forward to it, and it'll be nice to spend 3 days with my boy. His mother was (amazingly) willing to let him go with me, I don't get him very much, so this is gonna be great.
  13. I don't tie my own, but I do use them. I don't like shooting off of my string either.
  14. I only signed up for it to catch my ex wife cheating. It worked wonderfully.
  15. I'd buy a small piece in the southerntier. Maybe 10 -15 acres. Not big, but something that I could keep even after the taxes went up in the future. Would be nice to have it near state land.
  16. I found one at Sheard's guns in Bergen. $129.00, not bad. Thanks Paula, for the number!!!!!!!! I appreciate the help, all.
  17. Keep it waxed and it will last a lot longer. I run a blow dryer over my string after waxing it, and the string sucks it up.
  18. That's really messed up. I'd yank my son out of that choir.
