  1. If it was anyone else, just a regular Joe, it would never have made the news. Just because he's a well known opponent to gun control and an Obama hater, it made the news.
  2. OMG! Only 11 days to go!!!!

  3. The place we got Milo was TLCDoggy Day Spa on East Main Street in Huntington. It is basically a grooming place privately owned by a stand up guy named Shawn. We were there for about 2 hours yesterday and I have to say, at least 15 dogs were brought in and came out looking great. Check out their website: www.tlcdoggydayspa.com
  4. The place we got him is a groomer as well and they only charge $40 for basic groom every three months or so. He always wants to play.
  5. First night in his new home was a pleasure. Whined a bit but after about 40 mins quieted down and slept through the nite. Yippee!!
  6. Ok his official name is....... Drumroll please....MILO!
  7. And here is the new addition to our family . . . He is 9 weeks old, 2 1/2lbs, Malta-poo (Maltese & Poodle mix). His name is Chewy (Named by my son after Chewbacca from Star Wars, although the rest of us prefer Milo) We'll see which name fits better over the next few days. We are going to try crate training starting tonight. Hopefully we'll get some sleep or . . . maybe not. LOL! Brings back great memories of my childhood.
  8. Thanks Gone I will look into that place. I agree about some stores that get their supply from mills. But my parents had good luck with NSAL when I was a kid and so did my brother in law 5 years ago. But I will consider town shelters as well. We are looking for young pups and I'm not sure if I'll find one that age at the shelters.
  9. 20 days to go Wahoo!!!

  10. Well I never thought my wife would bring up this topic but we've been discussing getting a family dog. We've had fish and a dwarf hamster that just passed after 1 1/2 years. My kids are 15 and soon to be 11. We have a good sized home and decent sized fenced yard. We are looking at the following breeds: Shih-Poo (mix between shitzu and poodle) and Puggle (mix between a pug and poodle). We know one family who bought a Shih-Poo at Vanity Pups in Bayside and they are happy with it. Been doing lots of research on both breeds. Read bad reviews about Shake-A-Paw in Hicksvile and Canine Corrals in Huntington where the dogs come from puppy mills in the Midwest with illnesses up the wazoo. I welcome any suggestions on these breeds as well as trustworthy kennels where we can see them and possibly adopt.
  11. The point of the original post was simply to point out that the Secret Service has a lot more on their plate dealing with the hooker scandal than with a well known zealously outspoken advocate against gun control and an admitted Obama hater.
  12. Sure. But the hardest part is I need to get my first bow kill. LOL!
  13. The secret service is investigating Uncle Ted for making anti-Obama statements. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/secret-looking-ted-nugent-violent-anti-obama-message-225142639.html Doesn't the SS have more important things to worry about right now, like the Colombian hooker scandal?
  14. It was really tender. Planning on roasting venison like that hopefully this coming bow season.
  15. Lol. This dog used to say "Baa"!!!
  16. And the Tradition continues another year.... http://i1099.photobucket.com/albums/g382/jmasiakos/cd63f7b4.mp4
  17. Thanks. I will definitely try that sand. I assume Home Depot carries it. Project for next weekend. Thanks it was put in about 15 years ago. Ya should have seen the patio three days ago. Lol.
  18. Did that to my dad's deck a few years ago. Just make sure you don't have the pressure too high otherwise you are going to end up putting gouges in the wood and then you are going to have to sand it down.
  19. Well it's not too late for the Greek Easter! We say "Kali Anastasi" (Good Ressurection) and on Easter Sunday we say "Chrstos Anesti" (Christ is Risen)
  20. As Freddy Prince used to say: "Looking good" Eddie. I like the pavers. But worst thing about them is you need to maintain them. They get discolored and stained from the crap that falls from the trees early spring. Now that I cleaned them I need to find some chemical to apply to prevent moss and weeds from coming up.
  21. I've been in your shoes before. My son and daughter were out of the house and hence out of my hair for the last two days.
