Ouch!! Hope it heals enough so you can go out soon. Well my plans to head up yesterday were busted. I've been having tingling sensation from my toes all way up to top of my abdomen for about 1 1/2 weeks. Almost like when you lay on your arm for too long and it falls asleep. So I saw my Dr last friday and he sent me for blood work twice thinking that something may be amiss- maybe Lyme, Diabetes or something else. All came back perfectly normal and my dr thought it was stress/nerves. So i figured going upstate this weekend would relieve any stress. He also referred me to a neurologist to rule out nerve damage. Was planning on going sometime next week but they had cancellation yesterday. Got to neuro yesterday morning thinking all would be well and then head upstate. Well after 2 hours at Dr I find out I have thoracic transverse myelitis which in plain english is a viral infection in my spinal cord. Puts me on steroid meds and says "I would stay home this weekend if I were you". God forbid I'm out in th field and something happens to me and I can't walk... Monday I have go for three MRIs to rule out anything more serious I.e. tumor, and more blood work Why do these things always happen at the most inopportune times???? I missed last years bow opener because i injured my ankle. Hoping it clears by next weekend so I can go up....

Hey shake it off and get back out there. In the fall I had 3 different hens within 20 yds of my set up and I missed three times. Needless to say I was 3x more p-$&;( off than you. It happens to all of us at one time or in my case 3 times. . Go get him!!

I'm spraying down all my clothes tonight and again tomorrow with Sawyers before I head out. Using deep woods on my skin, neck etc just in case one of the SOBs sneaks through. Going to spray down my blind as well with the Sawyers. I had a tick on me last year when I was getting ready to go into the shower. SOB was on my right shoulder. When I went to grab it it started trying to dig into my skin. I jumped in a hot shower and watched it go down the drain.

Heading up tomorrow afternoon instead of tonite due to family obligations. Hopefully will put at least one down Sat or Sun morning.

Thanks NFA-ADK. It was hand built by friend of the family and it's placed under two cherry trees facing the views of the Catskills. Good place to sit, think and even nap! LOL!!

My 20 year wedding anniversary is coming up next Thursday and I picked up a Lenox Porcelain 8x10 picture frame to replace an old glass picture frame for my wedding picture to give to my wife as one of the gifts for our anniversary. I am looking for a reliable engraver/etcher who is local (Nassau County) and who can engrave/etch a quote for me on it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

So I was at Costco with the wife this past Sunday doing some shopping. As I'm walking down the BBQ accessories aisle I get a wiff of cedar. I turn and look and there I see pallets full of 1/4" thick 12" x 4" cedar planks used for BBQs. I've been going crazy just to buy a single piece at homedepot to make a cedar box call. Guess what I'm gonna try to do tonite? That is of course if my puppy Milo leaves me alone for an hour. LOL!

What a crappy day out for opening day. Heading up thurs evening. Hopefully it will dry up by Fri morning.
