  2. Truly sad about what happened in NY today with the passage of this "feel good" legislation. Face it we are living in a liberal democratic State and not surprisingy the law passed by wide margins. Unfortunately the only thing that can be done to either overturn this law or clarify it is through legal action. I have no doubt that the NRA's legal team is already on it looking for ways to not only challenge the law but also address Cuomo's sneaky backdoor tactics. Why do I believe this? Because NY has the toughest gun control laws to begin with and these changes made it even tougher. So the NRA has to make a lot of noise now to stop the runaway train from crossing the borders into other states. Rather than pointing fingers it's time for us law abiding pro-gun owners to refocus and combine our anger and energy toward making sure that those who voted for this law do not get re-elected.
  3. Ooh I know...Sounds iike Furher Cuomo's plan that just passed today.
  4. Thanks for link. So far most of what I've heard from the Republicans is that this is a feel good legislation. I hope it doesn't pass.
  5. i just finished reading the entire section. I like the penalties for gun crimes and the mental health amendments but the rest is so confusing (even for me). I'd love to see how law enforcement is going to enforce this. The confusion is going to result in so many legal challenges.
  6. Just finished watching the movie. Very well made. Can't wait to read the book.
  7. Also got the movie. Gonna watch it tonight. Starting the book tomorrow.
  8. If that was my house and I was home, the would be burglars would be going to the morgue in body bags not sitting in jail for the next 5-10 yrs.
  9. Thanks. Saved about $40 by ordering it in black and doing it myself. The base was black. I laid it on a garbage bag on its side and covered it with leaves. I had Rust-o-leum camo spray cans from my last project. Sprayed it with khaki spray. Let it dry 10 minutes. Added sticks and sprayed it with the olive color and let it dry. Added evergreen branches and sprayed it with brown and let dry. Took off all the leaves etc and flipped it over. Did the same thing on other side. There was no particular pattern. I just randomly placed the leaves and sticks on it. I'm quite pleased. I just hope I don't drop it next deer season.
  10. So as some of you know, after shooting the biggest deer of my life this past opening weekend, I dropped my unloaded Remington 710 out of my treestand cracking the synthetic stock just behind the safety. I ordered a replacement stock in black from Remington for under $100 as a Christmas present for myself. Today I camouflaged it. Before.... After... No more ugly stock. - Jordan Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. It was a behind the scenes view of what went into the climax of the actual assassination of OBL. There were politics and action involved throughout the movie.
  12. Just finished watching it! I was quite Impressed.
  13. Whether or not Jefferson said these words is immaterial. The words speak for themselves.
  14. Thought I'd share an email just received from NRA Fairfax, Va. – The National Rifle Association of America is made up of over 4 million moms and dads, daughters and sons, who are involved in the national conversation about how to prevent a tragedy like Newtown from ever happening again. We attended today's White House meeting to discuss how to keep our children safe and were prepared to have a meaningful conversation about school safety, mental health issues, the marketing of violence to our kids and the collapse of federal prosecutions of violent criminals. We were disappointed with how little this meeting had to do with keeping our children safe and how much it had to do with an agenda to attack the Second Amendment. While claiming that no policy proposals would be “prejudged,” this Task Force spent most of its time on proposed restrictions on lawful firearms owners - honest, taxpaying, hardworking Americans. It is unfortunate that this Administration continues to insist on pushing failed solutions to our nation's most pressing problems. We will not allow law-abiding gun owners to be blamed for the acts of criminals and madmen. Instead, we will now take our commitment and meaningful contributions to members of congress of both parties who are interested in having an honest conversation about what works - and what does not.
  15. Props to the mother - a responsible gun owner who protected herself and her kids from a home invader. http://news.yahoo.com/mom-shot-intruder-inspires-gun-control-foes-003753089.html
