  1. Beautiful afternoon! Haven’t seen a thing today but it sure is fun trying!
  2. My girlfriend thinks I’ve lost it. Bailed out of work a couple of hours early, plowed the driveway, loaded the wood stove, and now I’m sitting in a tree overlooking a small turnip patch. I’m armed with nothing but my phone and video camera. I’ve been seeing a good buck but I don’t have a tag. I really just enjoy this more and more as I get older!
  3. I didn't see much deer sign in Bramley Mountain. Pink Street along Scutt Mountain Road had lots of deer sign but also has a lot of road frontage. I recommend areas with little road frontage and a difficult hike in and or a drag out.
  4. I do some turkey hunting on quite a few of them. I usually see a lot of deer sign but I just never get back to deer hunt them. Some of them get road hunted pretty hard.
  5. Weird year for me because that's all I'm seeing is bucks, live and on camera. But I've had years where I'm not as lucky. Keep after them! I've seen the same eight point the last three afternoons at the same time heading for food. Love late season!

  7. What a day! I hunted hard, saw 18 deer, seven bucks. Climbed down from my stand to cut the distance on this guy. I’ll range tomorrow but guessing just under 200 yd. shot. Laid on my gut and used my backpack as a rest. Heart shot went about 60 yds.
  8. Well, when I got back to my living room a nice buck cruised across the field. Since then I went for a 2 mile walk on some newly opened City property and saw 16 deer including 3 bucks. I got a good wind for babysitting some turnips this afternoon. Hopefully one of the big guys come through.
  9. In a box blind this morning. One little one came through. Can’t see much with snow stuck to every branch. Feel like I’m wasting my time. I can see more from my living room.
  10. Group of six, three does and three fawns just fed through. Nothing in tow. Loving this new stand site!
  11. My camp is empty, I got all the property to my self. My neighbors camp is just him and his son and they’ll go back to the island today. I love doing this more and more every year. This is what I do! Haven’t missed an opening day since I was old enough to hunt, (35 years). Glad I got you guys and girls to keep me company. Every year less and less people hunt for whatever reason. Just want to say thanks! I enjoy this thread!
  12. Had some chasing going on around 3:30. Good buck just too far away. Ready fo some heat and a hot meal. All day sit!
  13. Just saw 2 doe and a fawn. Then a 2.5 eight point. They all got a pass. Warming up nice!
  14. Anyone here ever been? If so any recommendations? Any certain area? I see most of November is muzzle loader season and you can take two bucks.
  15. Kind of a unique buck I named Blade because of the left main beam going straight up. Came in behind me and offered me a 20 yd shot. He ran about 20 yds and crashed within sight. Of course Blade got back at me when I cut my knuckle while dressing him. 3 spikes wandered through about 20 minutes after I shot him. Gotta love November.
  16. Just shot a buck. Then had 3 spikes come through. Not the biggest buck, but one I told myself I would take. Guess I’ll climb down and check him out. He only went about 20 yds.
