  1. Strike Force HD Pro X. Just got it but I'm impressed.
  2. Had a spike pushing does yesterday. 3.5 year old working a scrape.
  3. Was covered up with deer this afternoon. 4:30 5 does & fawns ran in. Then a spike was pushing them around and was rubbing trees. Then I saw a seven point making a scrape. The spike followed the does through at 10 yds. But the 7 never got closer than 40. Fun hunt with lot’s of action.
  4. Posted Property/Trespass Posting Requirements "POSTED" sign requirements are as follows: the posting law specifies the maximum distance between signs is 660 ft., the minimum size of the signs is 11 inches square and the area covered by the printing is a minimum of 80 sq. inches. Signs can be no more than 660 feet apart. The signs should, however, be placed close enough together to be seen and at a height that is easily visible. Posted signs must have the name and address of the person authorized to post the property. Each side of all corners of the property must be marked with posted signs, so that corners can be reasonably ascertained. There is no requirement that signs be "seen," and in fact, the land is still posted for a period of one year even if the signs are illegally removed by unauthorized persons the day they are put up. This illustrates the importance of seeking permission to enter private land, regardless of whether of not it is posted. You can be arrested for trespassing even if you did not see any posted signs. Your hunting license does not give you the right to trespass on private property. It is your responsibility to find out who the land owner is and ask their permission whether the property is posted or not. The New York State Penal Law makes it an offense to enter any land without permission. All property is owned by somebody. The lack of posted signs, fences or other man made objects does not imply that you may enter to hunt, fish or trap. It is your responsibility to obtain permission to enter private lands or waters. Public lands and waters may or may not have restrictions that can be found by contacting the municipality owning the lands. If you shoot a deer and it runs onto posted property, you do not have the legal right to go on the property to retrieve it. You should locate the landowner, explain the situation, and ask permission. If the landowner refuses, the hunter will not be able to enter the property. The DEC cannot compel a landowner to grant access. If the hunter has reason to believe that the landowner intends to illegally possess the deer, it should be reported to the nearest Environmental Conservation Officer. State land managed by DEC, including Wildlife Management Areas and State Forests are marked with DEC signs and usually open to hunting. For state held lands open to hunting see Places To Hunt or the current Hunting and Trapping Guidebook.
  5. Love the sounds of multiple barred owls. Set the decoy up in the dark and already had a doe and fawn come by but they didn’t stick around long. Let’s see what else the morning has to offer!
  6. That was awesome! Once he committed he laid his ears back and side strutted in. Neat show at 15yds.
  7. That was awesome! Once he committed he laid his ears back and side strutted in. Neat show at 15yds.
  8. Had a lot of luck with it two years ago. Didn’t play with it last year. Awesome on the ground because the deer are so focused on it. I only use it in fields or open areas.
  9. 4 point just came out into the field about 150 yds. Paying no attention to my decoy.
  10. Local Real Estate Agent said she was selling listings sight unseen as long as they livable. Bidding wars were seeing some houses going for more than $40,000 over the asking price! Local real estate attorneys were swamped and turning down work.
  11. 11 so far. One buck, a six pointer pushing the does around. 16 total! 2 bucks even did a little sparring. Most deer I've seen on a sit in NY in a long time.
  12. I got in the blind, rolled the windows up and I can see the form of a deer. An 8pt I call Jimmy walked to about 10 or12 yards. He’s still in the plot but about 100yds our and moving away. Same buck I saw last night.
  13. Seven deer seen, 2 unknown, 3 does, and 2 bucks. Had one close but I couldn’t get drawn on him.
  14. I learned that years ago. Some of my near the house stands even come with WiFi.
  15. Something I wish I had done. Too late now. Lost track of how many deer I've taken.
  16. I turned it off when the Texans sat out the anthem in their locker room! i
  17. My dad and friends, I believe 1970. I’ve been working hard to get the habitat to look like that again.
  18. Just got my DMP. Transferred my info into new account, including landowner, and no problem. Now just wait for license to come. $0 spent. Early bear season in one month!
  19. I planted 4 plots on Saturday and was hoping for some rain. Well I got it. 4.20”! Overall the plots held up with a few washouts. A couple day will tell the tale.
