    I set my harvest goals pretty high this year. I had 4 bucks that I had on cam, all 8 pointers that I had my eyes on. I passed numerous 6,7, and small 8 pointers. When the snow came my sightings decreased. Then all I was seeing was 1 1/2 year old bucks. One good one got hit by a car and one might have got shot. I never released an arrow or fired a shot and I have no regrets. My mock scrapes were fun to watch and I had a blast using a buck decoy. Already planning some habitat improvements and new stand locations. I miss it already and I'm looking forward to next year.

    Well it was funny this morning, my girlfriend said if I were you I would head down to the bottom of the field, they've been coming out down there for the last 3 mornings. She doesn't hunt but I took her advice and so far 2 spikes have come through. I guess I should listen to her more. Hoping for a good one.

    Not fun coming out of the woods and having a deer between you and the road and a car drives by and stops. Nothing bad happened but I'm still shaking. I hate road shooters!

    I saw a buck that shed one antler last week and another one today. I did get a new buck on cam, 8 point no brows.

    I've had a very tough season up to today, I even got to hear one of the big bucks get hit by a car the first week. As we all know, things can change fast!

    Years ago I would have been happy with them but I still have a couple of goods ones I'm looking for and I still have time to do it. If I don't fill a tag, oh well it's nice to have had the opportunity. Good luck to you!

    What a great day in the woods! I saw eleven deer in total, including one seven pointer and two six pointers. I passed them all. Action all day long. The best part is when I got back to the house, there are fawn tracks on my deck stairs! Amazing what a deer will do for a pumpkin.

    2nd six point of the day just got a free pass.

    I passed on a seven pt. This morning and a six about an hour ago. Eventually one of these eights will show themselves.

    Just saw my second buck of the day from the house. He made a rub and fed for about an hour. Pretty neat to watch.

    My neighbor got his truck stuck in a 3' drift when I was walking out this morning. This guy let's me hunt it so I had no problem firing up the tractor and plowing his driveway for him, about a mile long. I gave some leftovers a good home, and now back in the stand. Beautiful afternoon.

    Hoping these deer are hungry tonight. Sitting on a rye patch that has had mainly night visitors.

    My camera's showed me chasing on 11/4 - 11/9, when I was at work. I bow hunted hard from 11/10-11/16 and only saw one buck chasing on the 12th. I've seen a spike on the gun opener and a small 8 today, both feeding. Very slow for me.

    As I'm coming out of the woods across the street, crunching on the ice on the road, I looked over behind the house and noticed a deer looking at me. About 300 yards away so I glass it and see it's an 8 point. I texted my girlfriend to let her know so I could possibly get a plan together. The deer starts to feed and then I noticed it looking towards the house, I see my girlfriend walking to her car and the buck on a run heading straight away. I texted again and said never mind, you just spooked him. Finally got a text back, "Sorry". Oh well, my tough week continues.

    I'm also a member of your club. Haven't seen a deer since Saturday.

    Got to sit in my stand tonight and see nothing but I got to hear this one get hit by a car. It's been a tough week. It's got to get better.

    I'm in a stand where I harvested my first buck 32 years ago. I've taken at least 25 bucks out of it. It's been a few years since I've hunted it. The habitat has changed from brush and saplings to mature hardwoods. Only two tracks near it today. Wow the memories that are rushing through me.

    Spike came right in within minutes of climbing the stand.

    Got a couple out back feeding and wow there is a lot of tracks on the lawn.
