Went for a walk mid day to change out sd cards on the cams. Saw 7 does, Not a lot of tracks but found one scrape opened up in the snow. Lots of small bucks still getting their pictures taken.

I went with the cheaper dish package and pursuit is all I get. Had a free month long preview of the outdoor channel in October. I really don't miss it.

Got home from work yesterday and I had 7 deer behind the house, one spike and one 8 pointer. This mornings walk I saw 6 deer scattered around. They seem to be showing themselves of late. Good luck out there.

Went out to load the woodstove at 2:00 and here comes a 7 pointer into one of the food plots. He's got the feed bag on for 45 minutes now.

Just excited to be in the tree tonight. I feel like a deer could appear at any time. The older I get (49), the more I enjoy this and the more patience I have.

Use to do them all the time. Very productive if set up right. I was a driver most of the time and like seeing all the sign, even killed a few. Now I like low pressure hunting and keeping those deer on my hunting grounds. But if you want some action and want to fill the freezer, go for. Be safe and have fun!

Went to check trail cameras today, and on my way back down the hill a small rack buck limps across the trail in front of me. No blood on the fresh snow. I watched him for a couple of minutes as I changed an SD card in a camera. I walked to the house and grabbed the crossbow. I walked up on the down wind side of him and he jumped up when I got to about 20 yards away. He faced me and laid right back down. I side stepped to get a better angle on him and he stood back up favoring his right front leg. I didn't want to shoot him but I felt bad watching him suffer. I put him down and can't find anything wrong with him. No other holes, scrapes. or punctures. Gutted him and all looks good? Wasn't expecting this today.

To start off I'm pumped, I just shot my biggest Buck. He's a mid 140" 9 point with a broken right main beam. Possibly a 10th point broke off with it? I'll never know. Do I get it fixed? Do I add a 10th point? Do I leave it the way I shot it?

Pretty scary! I cut up a tree where I had one last year to put it up this year.

Just had a small 6 cruise through.

How do we get rid of this rule? The Catskill Park and Nothern Zone are exempt from wearing them. So why the rest of the State?

I unloaded hay wagons for a good many years. Haven't in several years now but I think I earned lifetime rights.
