  1. That is awesome . Thanks for sharing !
  2. The most recoil I ever felt was with a double barrel 12 ga Hopkins & Allen with target loads . AQ friend asked if I wanted to shoot some clay pigeons on his property in Walworth . All I had was the double barrel 12 ga . I was doing pretty fair and Al asked me if I wanted to try doubles . I asked what that was . He said that he would load two clays and that one would go straight out and the other would cross in front of me and sail to my left . Al said to shoot the one that would swing across to my left and then swing the shotgun back and shoot the one going straight . Okay ! I pulled both hammers back , got ready and said pull . Didn't realize how fast the clays would go . I swung the shotgun horizontally and in my haste I pulled both triggers at the same time . That kinda jarred the shoulder a bit !
  3. I would give the plane a 3 thumbs up but I only have 2 . Neat plane !
  4. Paula --- here is a Grosbeak
  5. That is some neat video Wooly !
  6. That has to be an awesome experience for a ball player .
  7. We get the Grosbeaks coming around on a regular basis . Beautiful birds . I go through a lot of suet and sunflower seeds .
  8. Got some video of Big Bird and a female Oriole
  9. So you consider what Colbert said as okay ? He said ," the only thing your mouth is good for is being Vladimir Putin’s c–k holster.”
  10. That back tire looks a bit soft !
  11. Sorry for your loss Tommy ........
  12. I use e-mail and then if someone is interested , we do phone conversation .
  13. Enjoyed the story . Hope you are dried out . Congrats on the bird !
  14. Happy Birthday ......... have a great day !
  15. I have another suet feeder next to a post so she can hang onto the the post and feed easier . When I am outside I can hear her before she comes in so I get out of sight so I don't scare her . Havn't seen the male yet this year .
  16. I was at the Aldi's in Webster . I guess I missed the excitement . The only time I have seen anyone act belligerent is a couple of times when shoppers were told they couldn't pay for an item with their EBT card . .
  17. The female Piliated Woodpecker has been back each day for a week . Got her with the cheap Bresser game camera . Here is a pic from the cam and then cropped and lightened .
  18. Interesting and quite thorough . During the Youth Weekend twice as many males were killed than females .
  19. IR-Flash - 22 IR lights .......Response time - 1.2 seconds ........IR Flash range - 10 meters ( 33 feet ) It has a small screen in front on the bottom . When you turn the camera on it shows what is in front of it . It also supposedly lets you review what in on the card with up / down buttons which I havn't tried yet . It has a small hole in front where a lock could be placed to cable lock it to a tree but the side opening where the card is cannot be locked so I would want to put this up high . The IR Flash can be seen at night . But , what the heck , $20 ! ........ Maybe I will try all of Wooly's suggestions !
  20. I saw a Bresser 5 mega pixel game camera in WalMart several months ago that was listed for $50 . I had never heard of it and it didn't look very impressive . Saw it again a couple months ago for $30 . Last week I was looking for something on line on the WalMart . I happened to see the camera listed for under $20 with ship to store pickup so I ordered one . It uses micro sd cards and 8 AA batteries . The pictures aren't too bad but they don't show date , time , temp , etc .. Just plain pictures . Glad it was only a $20 investment . Date and time are important so I don't know what I will use this camera for . https://www.walmart.com/ip/Bresser-5MP-Game-Camera/54265514
  21. I have arthritis in my hands / fingers and find this type of release helpful as you are pulling with you wrist and shoulder vs the fingers / hand .
  22. Good point . It the draw length is off , the OP should be able to have it adjusted at a Bow Shop .
  23. Welcome to Hunting NY
