  1. I believe there is a difference . Having a bit of offset helps give the arrow spin which helps stabilize it in flight . I fletch my own with the NAP Quick Spin fletchings .
  2. Too many choices ..................
  3. Billy Bob Thornton would be proud of this guy .
  4. I have 2 Stealth cams that crapped out a Moultrie I-40 that won't take pics and a Primos Truth cam Ultra that won't change the date or time . I would like to take the 2 Stealths and the Moultrie to the woods and do a video by shooting them . I contacted Primos via phone and they said ther is no fix for the camera but if I sent it in they would give me a price break on another Trail Cam . Like that's gonna happen !
  5. Dunham's was a sporting goods store located in Henrietta and Irondequoit . They went out of business / closed shop . It was a decent store . Anyway , that's where I 1st came across the American Eagle 40 round boxes of 22's . I remember buying them for under $12 a brick . Oh yeah , I was into DICKs today and the 22 ammo was gone .
  6. Ants , do you live under a rock ? I have American Eagle that I bought from Dunhams years ago that are only 40 round boxes . It shoots fine and doesn't dirty up a pistol or rifle like the Remington 22's do .
  7. Almost forgot .... I was at DICKs in Webster today . They had some American Eagle 22 cal boxes of ammo for $2.48 ( 40 rounds ) .
  8. The Fishing Regs Booklet will be available in the Spring . http://www.dec.ny.gov/press/98394.html 5th paragraph on that link : In addition, the new Hunting & Trapping regulation guides are available at all license issuing outlets, as well as on DEC website. New Fishing regulations guide will be available next spring.
  9. Lawdwaz -- Just consider it as "Paying it foreward" and forget about it . You could have spent $10 on a lottery ticket and lost so the $10 for gas is no big deal other than it got us away from arguing other rediculous crap . As for guys holing up signs that say "Will Work for Food" , one of those guys spoke on Brother Wease's show when he was on WCMF . The guy said "HIS" spot was on the 104 X-way and he stayed out long enough to get enough money for Beer and other treats . He had no intention of working .
  10. Warning for Men! Clever Scam...warn your friends!! This is very serious stuff! Women often receive warnings about protecting themselves at the mall and in dark parking lots, etc. This is the first warning I have seen for men. I wanted to pass it on in case you haven't heard about it. This will only become more commonplace as the holiday’s get closer. This is a 'heads up' for those men who may be regular Lowe's, Home Depot, or Sam’s Club customers. This one caught me by surprise. Over the last couple weeks I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get some simple Christmas gifts has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends. Here's how the scam works: Two seriously good-looking 20-something girls come over to your car dressed as Santa’s Helpers as you are packing your shopping into the trunk. They both start helping you pack your stuff into your vehicle. What catches your eye is the very short bright Red Santa helper miniskirts they are wearing and the tight fitting Deep “V” neck red top shirt with their breasts almost falling out. It is impossible not to look. When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say 'No' and instead ask you for a ride to McDonalds to get some hot cocoa and a snack. You agree and they get into the back seat. On the way, they start undressing. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet. I had my wallet stolen July 24th, 26th 28th 29th, 30th, twice on August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and very likely again this upcoming weekend. So tell your friends to be careful.!! What a horrible way to take advantage of men during this holiday season. Warn your friends to be vigilant. These girls will not give up, they have proven it over and over again with me. By the way, Target has wallets on sale for $2.99 each. I found cheaper ones for $1.99 at Wal-Mart and bought them out. Also, you never will get to eat at McDonalds. I've already lost 11 pounds just running back and forth to Lowe's, Home Depot, Sam’s Club, Wal-Mart and Target. So please, send this on to all the older men that you know and warn them to be on the lookout for this scam. (The best times are just before lunch and around 4:30 in the afternoon.) Update : Somebody reported this dastardly crime to the local police.Seven undercover officers were sent to various locations to put a stop to this criminal activity. So far no arrests have been made but the officers have lost a total of 37 billfolds,11 badges and three guns.
  11. Picked one up at the Town Clerk's when I got my Bow/ML and dmp tags . Picked up another one at DICKs the other day .
  12. The Lifetime isn't a Super Sportsman license . I have one and had to get the Bow / ML tags separately .
  13. We lost a close friend to ALS . Lucretia had a beautiful voice and loved the outdoors ( biking , skiing , camping ,etc) . She was a song leader at church . She came down with ALS , was confined to a wheel chair and could no longer speak . She had to use one of the machines where she typed a bit and it spoke the message . She had lost most of her motor skills and passed away . It is a terrible sight to see someone's health degrade with this illness . Nuts to the ice . I donate to ALS .
  14. I believe they took care of us important people first !
  15. You can't always believe Forecasts .............. The Indian Chief thought that it was going to be a bad winter so he sent all the braves out to collect wood. As he watched them return laden with timber from the forest he suddenly felt that he ought to check his forecast so he phoned the local met office. "Tell me, is it going to be a bad winter?" "Yes" said the forecaster " it will be a bad one" So the Chief told the braves that they didn't have enough wood and sent them back into the forest again. They returned with more wood but once again the Chief had doubts and he called the forecaster to confirm. "It is going to be a really severe winter" replied the forecaster. The Chief looked at the wood store, decided that more was required and the braves were dispatched back in to forest. The Chief called the forecaster. "Are you sure it's going to be a really severe winter" "Look" said the forecaster "its definitely going to be the worst winter on record - the Indians are gathering wood like crazy!""
  16. Yupper , call first . Beikirch's 585-248-3434 Dave Fladd - ext 107 Jeff Ryan - ext 106 I recall a time when RCBS was slow at shipping anything to Beikirch's . It isn't the stores fault that ammo and reloading suppliers have fallen behind .
  17. I don't care for Remington but their Core-Lokts do the work . Problem with the 25-06 is ...... the ammo is more expensive than say a 270 , etc ..
  18. I never get the bit about folks "driving" around to get gas money . You are burning gas trying to get gas money ? WTF !
  19. My wife and I argued over who was the safest driver . I let the dog decide . Hmmmmmmmmm
  20. I platform stand and over 16 others on 6 different properties plus 2 new ladders stands and one new chain-on in the shed .
  21. I put out an old Wildgame TC and forgot that it would show the night time pics in color ............
