    My wife only mentioned my deer huntine once . I reminded her that "her father" got me started . It has never been a problem with us . I sometimes hunt with my sons and also my sister in law .

    I take a 2' long 2" X 4" with a hole drilled near each end . I drive a metal tent stake spike through each hole and place the bottom legs against the 2 X 4 and walk the ladder up the tree . It works for me .

    I have a crapload of stands on 5 or 6 properties . I also have 4 new 15' ladder stands and 3 chain-ons that are new in box . You can never have enough stands !

    Before I retired I used to set two weeks aside ( 6 weeks of vacation ) for hunting . The other 4 were for when my wife wanted to do something . It worked out well . Now I go whenever I have a chance . My wife is probably happy that I am gone ! But then ..... we have only been married for 49 years !

    Have you ever laid your knife down when field dressing and then wasted time looking for it . I have but not anymore . I carry a few of the red plastic flags that they have by the door at Lowes / Home depot and have them with my surgical gloves .I place one of the plastic flags on the ground and whenever it is necessary to put the blade down , I place it on the red plastic . My SIL's ex-boyfriend lost his Case Knife one time and I had to take my metal detector down to find it ( under the gut pile ) .

    When I bought my Lifetime License , all that I could get was the Sportsman's Lifetime which does NOT consist of the Archery / ML deer tag . That is extra .

    Glad you are okay . Bees can be down right nasty . Are you sure they were Yellow Jackets ? I thought Hornets were the only bees that nested in the ground but ........ I was wrong once before . :

    Burmjohn --- Lucky it was on your head so it didn't hurt anything . I found their nest . It is under the slab that the Air Conditioner is on . They will get a present tonight .
