    Glad you are okay . Bees can be down right nasty . Are you sure they were Yellow Jackets ? I thought Hornets were the only bees that nested in the ground but ........ I was wrong once before . :

    Burmjohn --- Lucky it was on your head so it didn't hurt anything . I found their nest . It is under the slab that the Air Conditioner is on . They will get a present tonight .

    I used to use the gas bit but the nest is far enough in so all the gas does is burn a spot in the lawn . Then I tried Sevin Dust that the bees land in and track to the nest and that wasn't so great . Those smoke bombs work great . I was holding the camera and trying to light at the same time . I could have saved some of the boredom by editing out the lighting bit . I have a couple spots on me that still burn from the stings !

    I was outside a while ago using the trimmer mower before getting out the rider . I ran over a Ground Hornet nest and got stung 7 or 8 times arm , hands , inner thighs ........ when they sting you , they leave a pheromone odor and can track you down . If I can pin-point their hole in the ground tomorrow , I will be leaving a present for them . I put some "Sting Eze" where they stung me but they still hurt !

    I had to go to the DMV and Market Place Mall today so I stopped in at GM . I hadn't been there in a few months and was greatly disappointed in what I saw ( or rather what i didn'y see ) . Merchandise in the store was rather sparce !

    You have to purchase land in an area that no one wants to build anything on . My oldest son bought 16 acres in Italy Valley . You have to have 4 wheel drive to get up to his property and then it is a scarey ride . His property is adjacent to about 1800 acres of State land . The only problem is keeping the tresspassers off of the land he has worked on and made nice .

    My wife of 49 years may go hunting with me this year . I am letting her wear "my lucky hunting hat" .

    I have shopped at the GM in Henrietta quite a bit . I check the prices and drive over to DICks . When they 1st opened they had some awesome sales . My wife bought me a set of the Scent Suppressent camo outfit for Christmas the 1st year it was opened . They had it on sale with another 30% off ( super deal ) . Their ammo is way overpriced ! They do accept most of the Discount Coupons from DICKs !

    I would go to the Town clerk's office and find out for sure . I wouldn't go to walMart , GM , Bass Pro , etc and ask . The Town Clerk would definately know .

    Did your friends apply in any of the High Percentage areas ? I applied for 8H and 8F and got both . I have gotten them every year so far .....

    Here is a buck that I shot during late ML season a couple years ago . It had a broken arrow shaft through it's cheek and into its neck .

    Don't get locked into a certain brand . There are a lot of excellent manufacturers out there . My youngest son was about to drop $1300 - 1400 on a loaded Bowtech but the shop owner was too busy to talk to me . As a staff member on another site I was offered a new Limbsaver Bow for $300 and grabbed it . Added a Trophy Ridge Drop Zone rest , a sight , kisser button and quiver . My son shot an 8 point with it last season . I never would have thought of a Limbsaver Bow !
