    I have a Ruger Super RedHawk 44 mag with a 2X Leopold scope on it . I have never seen anything that great about a Leopold . Just a high priced piece of glass .

    Now that Deer season has ended , we will probably start seeing deer during the daytime in a couple weeks .

    Don't know about best "bate" but a Rabbit in Distress call usually brings them in .......

    Well Nonnie , the way you hunt squirrels is make them think you are deer hunting and they will be all over the place .

    I went out this afternoon and spent 3 1/2 hours in a treestand in Walworth . Never saw a thing . The sun came out but it was still cold .

    I agree with Max with part of his post . The Land Owner should have the say in what is done on his property . Someone who has Nuisance permits might not necessarily have the right to hunt that area during regular seasons . And ........ if the land owner is leasing the property to hunters during regular season , the persons with the Nuisance permits shouldn't be hunting there .

    I turned 69 in September and I hunt alone probably 90 percent of the time . I carry a cell phone and let folks know where I will be hunting any particular day .

    We have 4 spots that we can use the Nuisance Permits . At two of those spots we have permission from the farmer AND the land owners and at one we are allowed to Bow Hunt during gun season . I hunted one of those spots during bow season this year and that was it for me . As for my statement about if I didn't use the nuisance permit or someone else would do it doesn't meet somone's approval , I could care less . The opportunity was there and I took it . Plus , I don't consider the use of Nuisance Permits hunting . It's shooting .

    As for a fix for walkie-talkies , a 20 oz deck hammer will do just fine ! : .... : ...It's probably cheaper to replace them than to have one repaired . You could contact the Motorola Company and see what they might do for you .

    We used to use the walkie-talkie in Italy Valley just to let someone know that we were getting down from a stand and moving . Any discussion was limited . WE used them on Viberate and if you buzzed someone , you didn't talk until that person responded . I'll have to dig mine up . What Model Motorola do you have ?

    I bought a pair of Brush Buster fr4om Dick's on Clearance a few years ago . The front is brownihs green and the back is blue denim . They are insulated and pretty warm . They were too warm with long johns underneath . The burdocks , etc don't stick to them .

    I would think that with all the bells & whistles you want that a GPS with all those goodies would be quite pricey . I had a Magellan SportTrack that i didn't know how to use and finally had a Computer / GPS Nerd look it over . He couldn't get it to work . It couldn't find the Satelites . I bought a Garmin GPSMAP 60CSx and it works great . I use it sometimes to locate Geo Caches for fun and to mark my tree stand locations .

    I bought a DEXTER 6" Sani-Safe wide boning knife at Pagliuso's Meat Market in Ontario for $15 . He said that's what they use in their business . High carbon steel blade

    Personally , I only shot one . I take one each year . I was leery about doing this but if I didn't someone else would have . I could go out more and shoot more but choose not to do so .

    We have shot deer with the DDPs in crop fields . It's does only and you can shoot up until 11pm and use artificial light . When it starts to get dark , we quit as we don't want to be shooting a rifle at night even though it's legal .
