  2. I went to the Hearing Center this am and had hearing aids installed . I am hearing noises that I wasn't aware of before .It takes a while to get used to them . Right now it is irritating as all hell to hear the noise of the keyw when I hit them . http://www.downsouthhuntingforums.com/images/smiles/angry_table_puter.gif[/img]
  3. So what are you saying ? If someone makes a statement we all have to agree for fear of anti hunters , etc .. ?
  4. It was a nice size doe . Shot her at about 120 - 130 yards with my NEF 25-06 . She dropped where she was standing .
  5. I think this is the rifle http://www.realguns.com/archives/125.htm
  6. I don't know what caliber rifle he was shooting but those were some big ass bullets . The Judge said something to the effect that , if he had known the boar was that big , he would have shot it when it was standing still . That was a lot of bacon ! I would watch that maniac's show again !
  7. The neat thing about it is that the cutting edge is on top . With all the deer that I have field dressed in the past , I have nicked some intestines and that can be messy . No problem with this blade !
  8. No replies , huh . Well I got to try it out last night on a Doe with a Crop Damage Permit . I made a small incision with a hunting knife then used the Gerber . It was like using a zipper with no worry about cutting any of the innards .
  9. I have seen various trailers park at the North East corner of Rt 104 and Rt 414 with ATVs . They ride them along the South Side of Rt 104 .
  10. Real nice looking cabin ! http://www.downsouthhuntingforums.com/images/smiles/beer.gif[/img]
  11. When I first started shooting woodchucks for some farmers , I used some FMJ's ( non military ammo ) . I was afraid of ricochets and switched to HP's . Then when I started to reload I got the Varmint Tips .
  12. I was flipping channels and caught an episode with Razor Dobbs on the Versus channel . He turned out to be a killing machine with wild hogs . He got a speeding ticket down south and ended up hunting with the judge . It was an interesting hunt .
  13. Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh , I don't think I will film any of my hunts ! : ... : ... :
  14. The pics are off af a Stealth Cam . I aimed it toward the gulley trail but I think the fawns came down the hill through some thick stuff and stood right in front of the camera . I have to be careful where I put the camera on that property as folks rides horses through there and I don't want to spook a horse and have a rider get hurt . I had a few pics on another card and uploaded them last night but can't find them . ???
  15. I thought I would get pics of deer coming out of a gulley but some fawns came through some heavy brush and in front of the camera . Gotta move it but it's 50 miles away .

  17. Winchester 1200 with Weaver Qwik Point Sight . Bought the gun in 1965 for $108 new . Bought a rifled barrel for it for $135 .
  18. Quite a few things can vary the POI ------ different primer , different powder , bullet design , seating depth , etc...
  19. Thanks . I bought the Carbon Express String Loop pack from Dicks for $4.95 . It contains material for 3 loops > I think there are directions for tying it on Hunting Net ........
  20. With that logic, any "bow" that needs a trigger to shoot should be in the gun season as well. You can use a release on a Recurve , Long Bow , etc .. ???
  21. Wow ! I wasn't aware of that ! Here I am stuck with a single pin adjustable sight . I still have yet to see anyone with a scope on his Bow or even the clairifier . But ...... they are available . I didn't see any capability of dialing in for an 80 yard shot with the scopes for bows . I guess they might be in the process of designing a bi-pod to use with the compound . : .. : .. :
  22. I sent an e-mail to HHA to ask to see a video of someone shooting a crossbow using their 80 yard scope as they never did shoot the X-bow in the video that I posted .
  23. I stopped at Dick's yesterday and bought some string loop material . Presently . I have an Ultra Nok on my string and it makes a bit of a noise with some arrows when I shoot . So , I have to find time sometime this week to install it , myself . I know I saw directions on one of the sights as to how to tie it , etc ........
