When is the last time you sighted in the gun ? Did you drop the gun or bump the scope to throw it off ?
-
Agree. Or also try to use something like the Lead Sled to ensure the gun is perfectly stable. That's what I do. The Lead Sled can also help make this a one-person operation. Make sure you don't put too much weight on a "Lead Sled" . I have heard of guys cracking their stocks by usiny too much weight on the sled . The recoil has to go somewhere !!!

The Crooks are running the Police Force out there . I hope Hart wins big with his lawsuit ! Oh yeah , notice the cops climbing over the gate with their guns . What dumb asses !!! -
Wow ! Looks like they want to attack the Trail Cam ! ???

There is a shop on Rt 96 in Farmington . I think it's called Jim's Archery or something or other . Anyway I stopped in there about 4 years ago and thought the guy was rude . Needless to say , I never went back to spend any money ! I hardly ever see any vehicles in the lot ........

Summertime is bat time in Central New York
fasteddie replied to HuntingNY-News's topic in New York State Hunting News
I put up a Bat House in the backyard 2 years ago . I have never seen a bat in the thing ....... -
The guy that takes these is an awesome photographer and goes on most of the hunts . I told him he should check into some of the Calendar companies to see if they would want to use any of his pics ......

That would make one heck of a great hunting stand !

Posted signs have been torn down on my sister in law's property . A lot of folks have no respect for other people's land ! >

Get yourself a log extension cord ! ???

I think the fur prices are way down . There is a lot of work to skinning and preparing the hide .

There used to be an Archery Shop at the top of Irondequoit Bay in West Webster . It was "Sal's Archery Shop" . The guy had the manners of a brick . I always felt intimidated when I went in there . If you asked him any question , he wold talk down to you like you were stupid . For the life of me I can't figure out why he went out of business ! : ... : ... : ... : ... :

Sever years ago , there was an article in the paper where a roofer had tied a rope onto some sort of safety belt . He fell and snapped his back . I use the full restraint harness .

If you have a spot where you know coyotes frequent , check with area farmers for stillborn / dead calves . Place the calf in the Yote area and stake it to the ground covering some of it with chicken wire so they can't drag it off or chomp it all at once . When it stinks it real bad they will come after it . Coyotes will eat stuff that stinks so bad it would turn your stomach !

It's amazing how many clowns say I thought this was so and so's property when confronted . Especially when there are signs with the property owner's name on them . What I find silly is the Posted Property that doesn't ave a name on it !

It was ........ ! Anyway , I put the single shot break open NEFs in a portable clamp vice . I look at a neighbor's light through the barrel and adjust the sight to get the same pic . Then it's ready for the range and is pretty close to being right on .

Make sure any brush that you trim near the base of the tree is cut as close to the ground as possible . If you should slip and fall , you don't want to be impaled . Probably a rarity but it can happen .

I hope that buck was legal and using the Deer Crossing !!!!!!!!!!!! : .. Great pics .

Here are some pics that a friend took a couple years ago with the Genesee Valley Hunt Club

I have fired 22 bullets a 2nd time and they worked . Some folks show little concern about safety .
-
I took my Ruger .380 to the range a couple weeks ago . I was picking up my brass just for the heck of it . Anyway I saw a 22 bullet that was intact . Then another and another . About a dozen rounds . I put the brass and bullets in a bag and brought them home . I was sorting them out last night and noticed a firing pin mark on each of the bullets . They had been scattered on the ground at the pistol range . Bad firing pin , I guess . There is a spot at the range for duds and they sure as heck don't belong left on the ground .
-
25-06 brass isn't all that plentiful and is rather pricy just like the loaded ammo . I even looked on MIDWAY and theirs is expensive . Shooters used to leave their brass at the range but with the price of ammo , they must be picking it up .

Hornaday Oneshot case lube spray ???
fasteddie replied to fasteddie's topic in Rifle and Gun Hunting
I didn't get any replies so I GOOGLED and found negative remarks on the Oneshot . Some claimed it gummed up their dies . As reputable as Hornaday is , I would think their products would be better . Someone suggested using something like Pam Spray . Have any of you reloaders tried this ? -
I havn't been in a few years but they used to let the kids shoot some clay pigeons . The Boy Scouts sold Buffalo Burgers ........

I was able to get a Limbsaver DZ32 for my youngest son for $300 . A friend had it for a review and didn't need the extra bow . My son loves it !
