  1. LOL, Thats classic. But it's 2x3 thank you...
  2. RifleSharpShot, Did you just compliment my deer kill? Oh man, how embarassing is that. He was just a little "BABBY" buck...
  3. Went to a buddies camp Sat night with my brother and had a blast. Big camp feast, some beers and a couple Manhattans that night. Sunday morning they set me up in a stand and told me to shoot whatever buck i wanted. Thats exactly what i did. When he booggied down the ridge at 8:15, i whooted at him to stop and when he did at 110 yrds, i let the 30-06 rip. For me to shoot a buck at camp with good friends and family was a real memory maker for me. After the season i've had i could not be happier. Fully expecting to take some smack after running my mouth all yr and thats fine. I deserve a bit of razing and i have a sence of humor. The smile will still be on my face. LOL This week, if i can get back out, i'll be back in my best buck areas letting small ones go and hoping for a brute but if there is no more days in the field, this buck will supply me with enough enjoyment to get me to next year.
  4. Cynthia, Thanks for asking. I will try to get the latest link that we have out there discribing Bailey and what were hoping to find for her, but i probably won't have it until Mon. But in responce to you question, she is about 11 months old and weighs about 38 pounds. The vet does not expect her to get any bigger. She is about the size of a Beagle i guess. Some of the pics make her look bigger because of her "baby Block head". LOL
  5. GJS4, Have you ever read any of your posts before or after you hit post. Which category is it that you fall into? The good hearted group. Show me your good hearted posts. Even though i share your views on many subjects, you're hate filled, warped bitterness is never going to persuade anyone. So please don't even try.
  6. G-man, Sounds like an awesome place and a great bunch of guys to hunt with. Been thinking about that pear tree buck since you put those pics up earlier in the yr. 263 deer sounds like alot of good memories to me. Congrats and good luck the rest of the way.
  7. Welcome fello 9p guy. My Family has a camp near Rattlesnake Hill and I'll be hunting a buddy's camp further south in Allegany County this weekend.. Good luck to you the rest of the season.
  8. Well Sunday will be my first and only day hunting during the regular season this year as long as there are no monkey wrenches thrown in between now and then. My friend has invited my brother and i down to his camp in Allegany County. We'll head down Sat afternoon and have some good grub and some beers and probably a Manhatten or two. (Camp tradition) We have some things we need to finalize in preparation for our Mulie hunt in Colorodo so we'll take care of that Sat night and then hunt Sunday. My friends 400 acres has some great deer on it and also a big bear so needless to say i'm excited to take the 30-06 out to play. So Bailey will be going to the boarders for the weekend to give my wife a much deserved break from me and the dog drama. And i will spend a weekend with good friends and family at camp.. Thanks to all who have PM'ed or checked on Bailey this week especially Skillet for his offer..
  9. Sorry to hear about your bad fortune today Joe.. Would have loved to see you posting a dandy on here with a big ol' smile on your face. One thing is for sure, Age shows no mercy.. You can eat right and work out and stay in shape but pretty hard to exercise those eyes to make them stronger.. Something tells me you will recall this days with fondness someday. but probably not this day.
  10. Not surprised, That seemed like a very fair price for those guns. I'm sure they will supply plenty of fun to the new owners..
  11. I think i would agree that you can find better blood makers than the Copper Solids but i just can't bring myself to try anything else because of their awesome accuracy out of my set-up.
  12. HAHAHAHAHAH...We could ask if he would respond.
  13. SG0331 seems to be obsessed with our balls. Wonder if he's putting his 14 pointers on the wall or if he'll take them to all those diners?
  14. Gizmo, You made the statement "learn how to shoot"... Did you read the posts made by the guy that started this thread? He repeatedly said bad blood trails on deer they found with good shots.... Not bad blood on deer hit in the "hoof", like you said. And now your talking about clean shots and wounded deer.. All he wanted was suggestions on sabots that people have had success with.. Right
  15. If we're going to get this thing to page 7 then i thought i would add that i think he shot his deer after legal hrs. According to him he was chasing sunset, he then shot the deer in a field but couldn't see it crash 50 yrds from him?? Hmmmm. Something fishy about this sg0331 guy..
  16. Wow, pretty sure he was only looking for opinions , not a lecture Gizmo. By the way, where do you aim exactly to kill 30 deer "in their tracks" with your fancy shootin'? I must be doing something wrong because i usually double lung them and often hit the heart and yet they still manage to go 40 or 50 yrds. Please tell me what i'm doing wrong..
  17. Love Copper Solids out of my 12 guage. Not really sure about the blood trail concern. For me it usually leaves a big fat hole on this side and splatters everything within 10 ft. on the other.
  18. Great job so far G-man.. Hey didn't you have a real beauty on cam. before the season started? Any sightings of that one on stand? Good luck the rest of the way. I also enjoy the late season.
  19. Jim, What does she have triplets in that belly? Nice job on that fatty..
  20. The Ithaca guy that shot one of the towns santa props said it would be fine also..
  21. Here Doe, i'll do you one better. here's an over head view of exactly how to get to it. You have my permission to use it anytime. Because your an eastsider, you may want to get directions to Mendon Ponds Park first, and then just use this to find it.. Let me know how that goes..LOL
  22. Pretty surprising how quickly some are willing to just give up their freedoms. I realize some have different hunting styles and would not find this set-up enjoyable but maybe we should save our bannings for more critical issues. By the way, this is only one of 18 set-ups on this property and shooting deer out of it is really a secondary benifit.
  23. So where is the baby who started this post anyway. He complains about the bitchin' and then spends 8 paragraphs to do his own.. Go find yourself a forum where they agree with everything you say and where every internet big buck is greeted with a "way to go buddy, you are a great hunter." Oh and by the way, did you get that buck of yours officially green scored or are you still using that same number you came up with using your Stanley 1 inch framers tape measure?
  24. LOL. It's on my buddies land, and we are waiting for the town to fine us for putting up a dwelling without the proper permits and inspections.. lol
  25. Sorry, Not our problem here..
