Thick styrofoam that’s used for packing etc. Plenty around, cheap and definitely will be warm. If u remember the old school hot seats they were filled with styrofoam bb’s. Wish I still had mine

Hope to get put of work and get me some woods time . I need it . Bad week so far for me my car broke down 700 to fix it I don't have . My husband's brother in law was found dead in woods on Saturday and my brothers wife just went on hospice. Not a good year for me . Need me some time in the woods
Nothing better than some woods therapy @cynthiafu. Sorry to hear all the bad news recently, condolences to you and your family. Things will turn around for you, stay positive

Saw what I think was a shed buck on Saturday, NOT that I’m an expert by any means, just the size and way it was acting/walking made me think. It was probably 70-80 yards in some thick cover

Cold feet are my cryptonite - have tried everything. If I’m moving/still hunting im ok. if I sit after a long walk to the stand, A dry change of socks is a must. , I sweat regardless if I walk 300 yards or 1 hour to my stand.
Cold feet also have a lot to do with circulation as well, anyone having pre existing circulation issues may have problems with cold feet, as well as diabetics can too. Also, remember to keep an “ air pocket” or don’t over tighten your laces as it will cut off the circulation to a certain extent

Like mine for chicken cutlets, rotisserie chicken and skewers,
cons it’s a bit small on inside can’t cook a lot at once, also takes up a lot of space on my already crowded countertop

@ApexerER ever try Carhaart bibs? I use them from time to time, definitely burr resistant, water and wind too. problem is a bit heavy and bulky to walk in, they were a lifesaver for me on some EXTREMELY cold days. I usually try to carry in/out and put a lighter pair of pants underneath with some sort of base layer/long john

Apexer since you sit in a treestand 95% of the time invest in one of these high quality seats for your posterior. The seat is very comfortable and will keep your bottom warm. You will sit for a longer time in your stand with one of these. I bought one many years ago and it holds up super. My son bought one after trying mine and he loves his. You will be surprised with how much a warm bottom helps keep you warm all over. valoroutdoors.com https://huntcomfort.com/
@CharlieNY what’s your experience with using these in or on rocks/logs if ground hunting. do they absorb moisture/ snow/ etc

Just bought the CVA wolf $315 out the door with a scope and a case. I had it centered in 3 shots. Can’t wait to try it out on a deer. My budget was tight and this was in my price range . I had to get a temporary bass pro credit card to secure the price, which the guy said I could cancel next day.

My wife’s company is same BS. Everyone is looking to make a buck, or create problems. I’m not saying what this guy did was wrong or right, however we have developed a culture of whiny ass bitches ( men and women) who are offended by everything and everyone. again, the tat woman had no problem with it, why the F do these other workers have to mind someone else’s business?
pussification of America.

If your too tired to remember to take bullet out of your gun or separate your ammo from the gun then I don't want you driving on the road with me or my family. Then you're not safe. Take a nap and stay off the road. Regroup go through your checklist etc. And be safe. What other unsafe practices do you do when your in the woods with a fully loaded gun. I was pulled over once and I hung out with DEC for an hour. I had a 10 point on my roof and I wanted everyone to see it. Sure they checked my paperwork and checked out the deer. They asked about my gun. I told the the gun is in the trunk and the ammo and mag in the glove compartment. They never checked. I always feel and tell most people if you didn't do anything wrong it shouldn't matter
@The Engineer, could not have said it better myself

Rule #1. Never let anyone search your vehicle. He is NOT looking for something GOOD. He is looking for something bad, to bust you on. Plain & simple. His goal is to bust you. You didn't get a certificate of good behavior for the stop. You didn't get an award you can hang on the wall for following all the rules. He is not looking for something to compliment you on. He is looking to write tickets, and enforce every trivial law.
Rule #2. take off all orange & camo when driving home. No need to be stopped unnecessarily. He might have been nice, but had you had a deer, the 10 questions would have been 100 questions.
@the blur He did not search vehicle, simply asked to check guns, looked in the bed, nothing was pulled out, etc. I had nothing to hide so what did I care. I don’t disagree with you, about the 100 question, but if you follow rules, and comply with them things go smooth.

They couldn't possibly stop every car that passes that way. What made them stop you? Were you hauling an ATV or had something on your vehicle that made them think you were a hunter??
@steve863, 2 guys in a pickup coming from the north, probably. however, as I said I can not imagine how many guys drove by while he was checking us. also they had 3 cars pulled over at the end of the merge from Bruckner. There was an electric sign at the beginning of Throgs Neck exp, warning all hunters to stop. This guy was on shoulder, pointed at me and motioned me to the side

All,
I have some youth clothes would probably be best for spring turkey, (only 5 short months away) as they’re mostly lite weight few pairs of pants few shirts and 2 zipper up hooded jackets/sweatshirts , ALL Camo and all free for anyone who has a young son or daughter looking to get in the woods and may Or may not have the means to outfit them. Probably size 8-10 or in that vicinity. My kids were tall and really thin at that age. The waists do have those adjustable buttons on the inside.
please let me know by responding here or shoot me a pm.
