  1. I think I just swallowed my entire coffee cup.....lol. AWESOME BUCK!!
  2. Now where on earth would one of us hunters know better in terms of what lies beyond and what backstop is there, than our own home. We can do it in unfamiliar woods but can't do it in our homes? We need to remember that the majority of the state is NOT shoulder to shoulder like Staten Island or any other city. We never can be sure what will happen. Think of Katrina or any other natural disaster. Should something like that occur the need/use of a weapon more powerful than a shotgun may very well come in handy.
  3. Good luck to you too. I should have clarified though. I use the G5 Mantec...cut on contact. no mechanicals for me
  4. I am shooting the G5's. I think I will switch too....just as soon as NY opens up that new proposed season on Plywood.
  5. Dom, I don't understand what you are trying to say about the packaging. and as far as the mandates....why on earth would we want to put more requirements on a business tryign to make it. Who are we to have a say in what they must offer as a service? We don't need move Govt in anything. that woul dmean just more red tape and more fees to be passed on to us. why would we need these?
  6. I would be willing to bet it is a spring issue with the gun. I saw it once before with an old Remington pump. Now on the 06 comment. I have never heard it called too much gun for deer...lol. Just out of curiosity, what amount of energy would you consider just the right amount for deer?
  7. The times are different and that is part of the problem. 20 years ago our family helped sponsor a Vietnamese family to come into the country.. they were very hard workers. We assisted then with an apartment and helped find an enrty level job. THey had 3 children. Fast forward 20 years. THey all speak fluent English( could after baout 2 years). Has a very good job with the State. Owns their own house and 4 rental properties. paid cash for the Childerns college (Pharmacist, Doctor and one still in). That is what can be done and should be done. They are Citizens of this country now and contribute. That is the American dream and the chemical that makes it possible is hard work. And for the term limits....hey it is my dream let me dream it how I want...lol
  8. If you want to do it legal ---come on in!! but my great grand parents didn't have to get paid and supported to learn the language. they did it because they had to to succeed. How it shoul dbe now.
  9. Best time to look at Kettery TP for used guns is the few weeks just before Christmas. They have them in there 4-5 deep leaning agaist the casees. People trade guns in to fund their Christmas purchase.
  10. Great looking group of bucks. DO you have any tril cameras out there?
  11. 1. Term limits- 2 terms period no matter the office. no benefits continuing past the term of service. no retirement, not health care , not for the officials an dnot for the families. You get it while you are serving but that is is. 2. Illegals gotta go. Without citizenship you get squat. Every citizen gets an ID card. No ID card you get a trip to the boarder. NO ID card--no vote. NO ID card, no medical, no emergency room nothing. English only. NO tests or signs or anything in another language. We are an ENGLISH Speaking country. 3. Tort Reform.- Frivilous lawsuits will be taken on. You bring suit and lose the Compainants attorney will be responsible for all leagal costs for other party as well as court costs. Laws rewritten to allow juries to award inconvience damages for false suits if they see fit. (something like this should have been step one before any health care law)
  12. Nybuckboy, two out of three increase the public dole. Couldn't support those. I am not going to criticize without putting mine out there. and let me say that I am going to unroll my cold calloused heart for this, because that is what it is going to take.
  13. The problem wit predators is they mostly are NOT specific in their approach. Alowing a predator population to increase may cause the over use of a prey animal that is not needed. as you cited about endangered species. We, as thinking predators can be selective in out take, as demonstrated by our game laws. We can take Black ducks one year ans if the population falls the balck duck season closes. We can still duck hun but focus on other more populated species. any other natural predator would be taking mallards, blacks, and others and does not have the ability to evaluate one against the other. That is the benefit I think we bring to the table over a natural predator.
  14. And as I evaluate every weapon puschase I will continue to consider that measure. I think it is fool hearty to not evaluate all possibilities when defending loved ones/self/home.
  15. I just don't see the view of it being that hard kicking. The 2" 4 " and 6" I have shot were firm with 357 but not uncomfortable and teh 38's were very easy to shoot...from my experience.
  16. Doesn't sound too heavy to me. Mine are heavier that that.
  17. http://www.smith-wes...playErrorView_Y This one is only 13 ounces unloaded. that is just crazy http://www.smith-wes...playErrorView_Y This one is 11.4 ounces
  18. LOL. they have M&P revolvers. I thought some had hammers. I might be looking at one for around camp gun the 357's I have in 4" and 6" are a little big for bouncing around camp.
  19. are you going to CC it or what use? They have some killer ones ..really light in the M&P. it has that scandium metal in them. very very light compared to models like the 60. They hav hammer and hammerless. too
