If I can put them in a softball that is my range. If I am carrying a gun that will only do that in 75 yards (notice it is the guns fault and not my aging eyes...lol) Then I shoot to 75 yards. with my scoped rifled slug barrel I know the gun is good to 150. (again not my eyes fault). I had an 1100 smooth bore that I wouldn't shoot over 75 yards. my fathers 1100 grouped much better. They do have individual personalities.

The reall problem I have with you guys that try to push this state wide is you get locked into your own little world. The freaking states out west that everyone of you seem to want NY to be just like don't even come close to the varied habitat that NY has. IT CAN"T BE A BLANKET concept here. We have areas wit low populations of deer that they are not issuing doe permits in. DO we really want to say you get no doe permit and screw you ...you can't shoot a buck of your choice as well? Really? I won'der why some hunters can't be brought on board to a management system like that. Unfreaking believable.

I thik the gun companies could make a good buck if they sold smooth bores with a cantilever mount. the smooth bore would stretch it's range if the scope was not mounted to the reciever. I have seen some unbelievable shots made with smooth bores

He was illustrating that it is just as crazy to say all Catholics support pedophiles becasue of actions of a few as it is to say all Homosexuals are pedophiles because of actions of a few.
