  1. Just wondering why you are switching from teh flex tip bullets? Did you have a problem with their preformance?
  2. I would really be more concerned about their consistency. if they are 3" high at 20 and ALWAYS 3" high at 20., I would move the pin. If they are grouped good at 20 and poorly at 30 (assuming it isn't you) you may have tuning issues. My Thinderheads alwasy shot a bit higher than my field tips. but grouped well at all hunting ranges.
  3. I know it is a silly question but are you sure they are the same weight as you field tips?
  4. the shutter is held open and the greatest exposure was him at full draw. you can see the blur at the elbow too. Cool pick.
  5. you don't have to use a lot. No need to blow through the tant and coat them. just coat the tent and I think the vapors do most of it. THey reallllly don't like that stuff...lol
  6. Use the wasp and hornet spray that goes like 30' . It kills them very well.
  7. As long as we are just going to throw wild guesses out here....Mine is they are all probably criminals.
  8. Paula....once they got you multiple personality thing under control I thought you quit talking to yourself...lol. Just kidding
  9. If you can walk it, It isn't thick enough for hunting big pressured bucks. If you have to crawl and push to get through it it is almost thick enough...lol it didn't get the old term "buck brush" for nothing
  10. One way I have never had anyone complain about the taste of the duck I cook...or goose for that matter......duck/goose noodle soup.
  11. ·Hunters’ willingness to take shots at harvest-vulnerable antlerless deer (important in the context of meeting deer population objectives) was lower in all parts of the state than their willingness to take shots at antlered bucks of any age. ·Hunters in all parts of the state passed-up shots in a substantial proportion of encounters with both YBs (>75% of opportunities) and OBs (>40% of opportunities). ·Promote voluntary restraint on the part of hunters to pass-up shots at yearling bucks (54% good idea, 30% bad idea). ·Set mandatory antler restrictions to reduce harvest of yearling bucks during all deer hunting seasons (youth would be exempt) (57% good idea, 34% bad idea). ·Set mandatory antler restrictions to reduce harvest of yearling bucks, but only for part of the hunting season (e.g., first half of regular firearms season; youth would be exempt) (41% good idea, 45% bad idea). ·Shorten the regular firearms season (18% good idea, 74% bad idea). ·In the context of regulations that affect harvest of antlered bucks, 50% of respondents indicated it was most important to have “the greatest freedom to choose which antlered buck I harvest,” 40% reported it was most important to have “the greatest prospect of taking an older buck with large antlers,” and 10% indicated it was most important to have “the greatest opportunity to harvest more than one buck per year.” The last point I posted from the survey seems to indicate that The majority want the freedom to choose. If we are going to support a position on the basis of hunter wants and use % from a survey….This seems like a pretty important one.
  12. then how are you going to spin the results about the importance of being able to take the buck of their choice?
  13. Ummmm. you two have a little sumpin sumpin on the side going on?
  14. http://www.chuckhawks.com/blackpowder_volumetric.htm Curious on your thoughts?
  15. NY-There is a presumption that something is accomplished or achieved in the feeling of pride. Are you surprised that those on the left would have a hard time understanding the concept of pride? I mean even Mrs., Communist-in-Chief said it wasn’t until they were elected that there was a first time she felt proud to be an American.
  16. Because of their population...their majority left leaning....and the fact they vote in our same state elections. So wanted to not they do effect the rest of the state.
  17. Understood,. I have to say, at that time of day with the crowd I am surprised the count isn't higher.
  18. I don't think any area is suitable for an OK corral style shoot out. Law enforcement is best left to ...well ..law enforcemnt. But it is very likely, that is you are confronted by a person with a gun it will be an up close matter and the law enforcement are not there. Unfortuantely our Law enforcement spend a lot of time in the investigation aspect of a shooting. It is over by then. If all of us NY Hunting members were in an auditorium for a meeting and and armed gunman barged in and opened fire, do we hope someone is carrying or are we glad no one is? It is easy to say we can't afford colateral damage but people are falling with every shot fromhe gunman. If you are standing the with a pistol and the gunman is shooting and you have your pistol, there are members in the background....he is shooting and people are falling. do you shoot? Tough questions and I really don't think there is a "right" answer that fits everyone. BUT there aslo isn't a "right" answer that should be imposed on everyoe either.
  19. And I would do everything in my power to be able to carry there. You are very free to choose a victim status. I don't. I can't wait to see if this was a legally owned weapon. And just for the record I think you were the one that took the discussion out of NYC with your Texas comparison
  20. No but you do have to realize the whole world isn't a crowded NY city street. You really should get out more
  21. Sorry to hear that Eddie, Prayer out to you and your family.
  22. I understand your point Steve but, if someone draws down on me I would much rather be armed than unarmed. It is that simple.
