Brand new patio / sliding glass door
TreeGuy replied to TreeGuy's topic in Non Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
Nobody ? -
Brand new in box, reliabilt 6' vinyl sliding glass door. Has low-e and argon gas, double pane, all white vinyl, limited lifetime warranty, screen included, nickel handle, footbolt lock. Was a special order door that cost over 750$ customer changed mind and I'm stuck with it. Make a reasonable offer or a reasonable trade. I like guns, bows, gear etc. Let me know what you have and we will go from there. I'm in the boston/eden/springville/hamburg area and could possibly deliver.

25.5lb, 11 1/2 beard and 1 5/8 spurs. Got it with the bow...a few days later I realized I could have documented it and had a bow kill record. Ah well, he tasted great either way ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

9h. 9m. 9f. 9h - backyard... Not seeing the usual flocks of years past. I think the yotes have pushed them away, but I am seeing lone hens here and there so I am hopeful for May 1st ! No gobbles which is good news to me, seems years past we missed the hottest few days. 9f. Huge flock, prob 30 birds. Great fall back on hunting spot, not sure if they are gobblin yet but I know I'll score at least 1 there. 9m. Seeing the flocks getting smaller as of last weekend, so it seems it may be time for them. Downfall here is too much country between my camp and the birds, but they do have a roosting spot which can get good once toms are hot. We shall see !!! Good luck to the youth hunters !!! Anyone in Boston/eden/Langford/n. Collins area care to join !!??!!

Apparently my efforts have had no affect on the pack.....found a mature doe carcass today, most likely from Fri or sat night. Needless to say I will be out tonight, even though my wife and I have to be at the hospital @6am to deliver our first.

Not as much as I do !!

Thanks ya'll. Feels great to get all these dogs under my belt. I have my first kiddo on the way due to show up on Monday the 20th so I've been getting in all the hunting I can before that ! Never invested too much time in yotes but apparently its a great time to start "!

This was by far the best and coolest hunt I've ever had. It was the sneaking through the woods while they were howling, hearing them crack through the ice covered snow, as they came in, and shooting them in nothing but moonlight that made it sweet

No pics. For once I left the phone in the house.... it was a hurry up and go hunt ! And unfortunately the pack I'm kill in off seems to all have the mange. So they aren't really worth keeping. I can tell you this too, I've got all the hand calls, and by results and preference its the foxpro hands down

Was loading up the wood stove last night about 730pm and could hear the yelping and howlin from inside.... decided to take a shot on sneaking to my stand. Grabbed the foxpro, the .45 and headed out. Called one in on a rabbit distress mixed with pup distress then after the shot I cranked the volume with a juvenile coyote distress and had another one come in 5 min after and stopped right where I shot the first one. Had another howl and bark back and forth with me for another 10 min but wouldn't come in. Awesome hunt, in the moonlight/ no spotlight used. I am really loving this FoxPro !!!!

I believe they were out all day cause we got a storm coming. They know and I knew, so I figured daytime would work.

Only ammo that works well past 50yrds is hand loads. 230gr, trumpeted lead, 980fps on chrono. Remington was o.k. but Winchester and American eagle factory loads sucked. 8-10" at 80 yards. All 230gr FMJ

Got him @ 1pm. Jumped 2 others on my way out... hi point is good out to about 80yrds, then groups go from softballs to watermelon sized. I'd shoot to 100 if the opportunity comes. Its the .45

Zag...where is this den !!?? I'll bring my calls and help call and kill !!! If not, I'd even be down for calling for you ! Hell, I'll even videotape ya !! Let's kill yotes !!

So, my decoy is a chunk of cardboard, 2 turkey feathers and strip of old glory.... put to good use ! I attach it with a loop of 10lb spider wire to a very nimble piece of wire about 3' long and put that into an old aluminum arrow that I stuff in the ground. Any little bit of wind and it will wiggle like crazy. Redneck engineering sure beats spending 50$ on the fox pro decoy !!!

So, I returned a sub par trail cam I had gotten during bow season and decided to get a FoxPro. Went out last weekend with my dad hunting for crows instead of predators since it was a blizzard and vis. was very low. When I turned on the FoxPro we were covered in crows in under 10seconds. I managed a double and fairly certain pops got 1 but with the snow it was hard to confirm the kill. So yesterday I was out with the wife and saw a yote in a field off the 219 around noon so I knew I had to try today. Went out on my first set and just as I started calling my neighbor and his pals came through on their snow machines so I decided to pack it up and head to the south end of my property. On the way back I found all kinds of fresh track and even some rabbit fur and blood. Set up where the flat lands meet a monster reveen that they typically run on. Was using my hand crafted ( ugly as heck ) redneck special decoy. Used the woodpecker distress for about 10 min and nothing. Hit it again for about 5 min then switched to fox distress and within 1 min a yote came right down the trail I walked. Got the gun up and picked out a shooting lane. He finally got past a clump of hemlocks and I picked up my rifle..... dag gum scoped was fogged up !!! So I put it where I thought he was and I could just make out a head and shoulder.... let one fly and he took off and what looked like he was doing the " wheel barrel". i shot him about 6 ft from the foxpro. He went about 50yrds and piled up in some thick brush. Ended up putting one more in him before I crawled in the thick stuff for the recovery, but he was already dead. Felt good to get it done ! Approx 40lb male. Had a slight case of the mange too. FoxPro wildfire 2 Hi point .45 carbine 230gr hand loads 3-9x40 scope Pics to come

So last day of regular season, last Sunday, I had a tom gobbling all morning long. Literally for 3 hours he gobbled every few minutes. What gives ? Lonely ?
