I had the address thing tried to be pulled on me one time as well... Also at gander mountain, now that I think of it. I had the new address printed on the back of the license and the DMV was notified of the change. Legally that is all I have to do, if I wanted the new address on the card, I would have to pay extra for that.As a matter of fact, anytime I ever entered that store to buy a gun, I never walked out with one. Even looking at the guns is a hassle, they aren't trying to sell you anything, it's more like they are trying to talk people out of buying guns from them. The store makes me sick, literally sick to my stomach to think about. I am now disgusted and don't want to eat my breakfast.

Well said Steve, struck a cord in me.The thing I always think of is how people put different animals into different categories. We talk about killing deer and for some people it is an emotional thing. For some this emotion is only for the first deer they kill, or the first couple, or the first one they actually watch die close up. But a fish? Who cares about fish? We catch fish, and throw them in a cooler or in a bucket and they suffocate and expire. How many cockroaches or mosquitoes have we killed? Did we stop and reflect on it, and think about the life we have taken? Even turkey or other birds. I know people that WILL NOT hunt deer, but will shoot a turkey with out the blink of an eye. One female hunter I know in particular says she will turkey hunt because they are "ugly" and wont shoot deer because they are so "pretty". Funny how we value some forms of life over others... And how our human emotions come into play depending on the type of animal it is we have just killed.

Elmo, sorry to hear you got jammed up. This is similar to the reason that I do not shop in Gander Mountain any more. They wouldn't sell me a rifle one day, for NO reason. I couldn't believe it, they wouldn't even run the FBI check, even tho he had me fill it all out. "A straw purchase is any purchase whereby the purchaser is knowingly acquiring an item or service for someone who is, for whatever reason, unable to purchase the item or service themselves" I do not think this term applies, either of them could have bought the rifle with out a problem. I would like to know the reason he wasn't allowed to walk out the door with it. It is NY state law? or store policy? If it was a basketball, would he have been able to leave with it? AND A PUMP FOR IT?!??!!?!? hahahahha

Statistically, there's a better chance of you getting killed by a polar bear in NY than a black bear. There is only one documented case of a wild black bear killing someone in NY and it was in 2002. It was a 5 month old infant, bear knocked over her stroller and picked up the baby and went into the woods with her, people threw rocks and sticks at the bear and the bear dropped the baby. Baby died of head and neck wounds I think 2 other black bears killed people in NY, but they were bears in captivity. If you put me in a cage, I would kill you too. The reason I said polar bears is because there were 2 people killed from polar bear attacks in NY. (zoos)

Great 10 pointer! Is it just me, or does his head look small for that rack?!

Never done it, but thought about it on two occasions... Actually had the knife in my hand about to do it, then thought about that rack hitting me in the face, decided it wasnt worth it to risk my safety.
