  1. I got one on route 84, from a trooper, back in October. I filled it out as "Not Guilty" and mailed it in following all the instructions. I have the return signature confirmation from the court house. Haven't heard a damn thing about it still. I don't know what's worse. Getting the ticket and having to deal with it, or just not knowing what the hell is going on with the damn thing all this time.
  2. What was wrong with it? I figure if half was good, the other half should be too? Edit: Also, hey Elmo, how are ya? haha long time no see
  3. Best, probably elk. Close second, chukkars. I love it all though. And memories have their own biased spice to them. Worst, probably ill prepared/handled whitetail. A lot of people dont treat that animal like food after the shot, ruins quality meat.
  4. Hey Shawn, hows it going man? I shoot these http://www.crosman.com/airguns/airgun-ammunition/25-benjamin-domed-27-9gr-pellets-200ct This gun loves them. I shoot 3/4 inch groups at 50 yards off a bipod. I have yet to put it in an actual rest and test it. I have also shot 4 fox, a few raccoon, opossum, and a bunch of squirrels. One fox went about 40 yards, double lung shot. Everything else pretty much dropped on the spot.
  5. I think that one was just rubbed with some garlic and herb seasoning. I get a cast iron pan very hot, add oil and butter, and sear all the sides of the loin (about 2-3 mins per side i think, or until it just looks right with a thin brown crust). The seasoning flavor does well in the high heat and doesn't taste burnt. Maybe most importantly, take the loin out of the pan and let it sit on your cutting board for at least 7-8 minutes before cutting. Cut any sooner and all the juices just run right out.
  6. Called in a nice Red Fox last week. Hide is tanning as we speak.
  7. Anything I put in my American .308 it shot well. I have mostly used Hornady 165gr GMX Superformance.
  8. I have an American in .308, I love it. The price on them is amazing too, I paid $309 for it new, shipped to my FFL, and it was a limited edition camo.
  9. I had 10 pounds of dogs made this year, ill be lucky if there are any left by summer!
  10. Leftover venison pot roast, carrots, mashed potatoes, lots of gravy. yum
  11. I would say "funky" is the perfect word to describe that antler!
  12. I have seen them yes, but I don't care for the look that much. The "skull hooker" cost me $41 on Amazon, free 2-day shipping. For something that will almost surely last a lifetime, I don't think it's a bad deal.
  13. Yelling, throwing sicks and rocks. Caveman style.
  14. I was going to say an off white, but I didnt think about the real wood. Real wood looks great! Here is my living room. Sorry, but the lighting in this photo just does not do it justice... Here's another:
  15. Yea, I love the skull hooker look. Thanks! That's cool with me, it felt weird just typing euro mount. I have heard of Texas mount before, but western mount works for me too.
  16. So I ended up shooting this buck during rifle season. Unfortunately I didnt get a good look at his neck like I thought I would. When I found him there were 3 bear on top of him eating him. After chasing them away (they DID NOT want to leave) I saw that they ate through that old neck wound and starting eating around the rear end also. Euro mount I did is here: http://huntingny.com/forums/topic/26424-did-my-own-euro-mount-for-the-first-time/
