  1. 3A here, saw a doe on opening day of rifle. Spent near 60 hours in the woods last week, never saw another deer during daylight. 8-9 guys in camp, no deer. Camp down the block, 3 guys, no deer. Camp around the corner, 8 guys, a small 5 pointer. I blame warm weather. I saw plenty of deer sign every where I hunt, more than usual even. I saw deer all over the place after dark too.
  2. At least one part of him is salvaged!
  3. Yea, as long as that little extra brow tine is an inch thats a nine pointer, good buck man
  4. I would want it on my wall, but its not my kill to put on the wall, I would NEVER mount some animal that was roadkill and call it my own.I would probably cut the head off and to a euro/texas mount and hang it outside some where tho...
  5. It would be a COLD COLD COLD day in hell before I drove up and gave my DMP to anyone.
  6. Good for you! Mountain bucks dont get too big, thats a good one. Got any more pics? What area was it in? Cheers
  7. It's a NWTF knife, if Larry even sends me a message. If not in a couple days, it will go to the next closest.
  8. Depends where I saw him. But most likely would take him.
  9. I can be flying through the woods and see deer, they just stare at me. I'm sure some of them probably spook and take off before I see them tho.
  10. thanks for sharing, good quality
  11. I quit thankfully, but I did smoke in the woods for about 13 years. As a matter of fact, now that I think of it, the past two seasons I HAVEN'T smoked in the woods, and I only saw ONE doe in those two seasons! One year I was tracking a buck I shot with a guy I know. We took a break and were standing there talking and I lit up a smoke. A doe came walking towards us, walking on the bucks track that I just shot. We stood still, she walked with in 10 feet of us, then walked around me(about 2 feet behind me, while I was holding the cigarette), then back onto the bucks tracks. It was pretty wild.

I agree with this... Too warm... I was in a T-shirt today walking through the woods, too damn hot. I was in the Catskills btw, and its a high elevation area, usually 5 degrees cooler then down the mountain. Deer are not doing anything around here. I only see them once its dark.

    Bear

That may be it in the pic I posted, cause its a beast! Nearby too, it was in Bluehill Lodge. I hunted Denman on Wednesday morning, didn't see anything.

Also, this was posted on the bulletin board in a store in Claryville, NY. No info posted about it, just these pictures.

    Bear

I never saw a bear where I hunt in 14 years, then I saw 3 bear 3 years ago while hunting. I saw 5 bear while deer hunting 2 seasons ago, last season saw none, this season none so far (but I see the bear scat all over the woods, some as big around as a soup can!). Had a huge one in the back yard for the last couple months and up on my cousins deck down the block, once season came around I didnt see him any more.
