  1. Looks like they were shot but I gave them a blast of round up. I'll try it again in the future.
  2. Congrats Eddie that is something special!
  3. It's so crazy how close the deer let you get when your on a tractor. About 7 times yesterday I ran into deer and they didn't care at all. One doe and fawn let me get 15 yards from them. They just wondered off!
  4. So I tried this on regular weeds. Sprayed yesterday afternoon. Today we are having all this rain think it will make a difference?
  5. Upstairs is heated not downstairs. I'm not too concerned. I have plenty of mounts that are in my house. When I didn't live here full time they sat in an unheated house and are holding up great.
  6. and the truck which is new. Traded in my 21 for a 24. love it. Check out the decal I got for the tailgate!
  7. So the upstairs is finished as a guest house. The downstairs still had exposed 2x6 studs. I insulated and put up particle board. Put two coats of primer on and finished it up. I have so much stuff to hang on walls I needed the space. Got the trail mower, belly mower, tractor, quad and my truck in. Very happy and very happy to call it my man cave! lol
  8. I bet ya you can eat them. Probably taste like turtle????
  9. I've seen that also. You can see their belly and can tell they were nursing fawns. Think a month old fawn can make it on their own? Also I read once that Does keep close to roads because they feel safer from predators. Think that is true??
  10. They let me watch for 5 minutes. I left after that. Nice to see!
  11. I take out the trash at our local elementary school. Usually the bees are all over the dumpster this time of year. Haven't seen one so far this year, very odd.
  12. Senator Mannion's bill, S5802 that allows those 60 & over to use a crossbow full season passed the Senate yesterday by a margin of 59-3. Although its not the bill we have been pushing, it's the first sign of movement since 2014 and is movement in the positive direction. The Woerner "Same-As" bill A6815 is stalled in the Assembly. There are people working hard within the Assembly to get it to the floor for a vote. If you look at the margin of support in the Senate, it should easily pass if it's put up for a vote.
  13. Have to have it checked out.
  14. Found this digging. Almost looks like wood. Cow??? mouse trap for size.
  15. Saw the first fawn 3 weeks ago, right on time I guess.
  16. First-light

    AHOY!!

Thats just perfect! I hope one day to buy one just like that. Too many lakes around not to take advantage of the water! Good luck with it.
  17. Seeing a lot of fawns lately. Saw a few this week 1 was very small must of been born within the week and other ones 3 times as big. I guess its that spread of a month of when they are bred in the fall. Some early some late. This picture has pretty good size one, taken yesterday.
  18. Huge bear we got one like that also.
  19. Farmer was working my next door neighbors field and noticed the rack in the hedgerow. Pretty nice deer. In our general area I was the only one to hit and not retrieve a big deer at gun season. I don't believe that was my deer. Mine had much more mass and I thought it was a 12 pt. Looks pretty wide.
  20. I've had 2 year old meat that was fine.
  21. We went for a walk in the woods. Changed the batteries in cameras. Nothing out of the norm. Both dogs hung close to me so I didn't see them get into anything. The young one a few hours layer started to show a couple of raised hives. Then yesterday morning they were all over her. No discomfort just looked horrible. Gave her a Benadryl and a bath. Kept an eye on her yesterday and last night. 90% of them are gone this morning. Must have an allergy to something? Anyone deal with something like this??
