http://clashdaily.com/2014/02/wicked-snow-mobiler-shoots-kills-attacking-moose-glock-graphic-video/#uDLhaZuXlx1Sfx4S.99 I think the guy pushes the moose a bit too much. Thought this could of been dealt with in another way. What do you guys think??

Power company will come through every 7 years. It is actually outsources the trimming to another company. They will try to get in touch with you before they spray or cut. I lease a field to a farmer that goes under the power lines, they do not bother with that area. Any trees that start growing to big or tall will be cut and vegetation sprayed. They did a number on the corner of my property this year. Cut right up to one of my tree stands.

Glad to hear it is used everywhere. You would think they would come running……..

I'll keep you guys updated.

So people are complaining about the amount of deer they are seeing on the roads on eastern Long Island. Car deer collisions are a commonplace in some of these small towns. Do you know there is an organic sugar beet farm out east that coats road salt with a blend of sugar beet juice and molasses. They claim it slows down the breakdown of the salt which works better on iced roads. Some towns out east are buying and using this product on the roads. Now do you see where I'm going?????? My brother called the DEC last night in Stonybrook and talked to an agent there. They were flawed to hear this and promised my brother it would be looked into. Now we know deer love salt and sugar beets but to coat it with a sugary substance is just asking for trouble. How many towns use this, I don't know. I'll be interested to see what comes of this.

What is your greatest memory while hunting?
First-light replied to DeerStalker22's topic in General Hunting
Has to be My Father in-laws last deer he shot and the first deer my friend Zach shot at 14 years old. Was with both of them when it happened. I have shot some nice deer through the years but these don't compare... -
I have a couple in the shed. Plastic base with the chain that goes around. Folding cloth seat that usually gets eaten by mice! Every so often they make it back into the woods.

Utter disappointment in my upstate friends. -
Not photoshopped. If you really zoom in it doesn't look like it is on the leg but more hanging down from the belly. You can see belly hair around it. Tough to tell my guess is something from the abdomen either a tumor or intestine? I don't know how a deer would live with its innards on the outside?? lol This is in Westchester so a fence injuring the deer is not out of the question.
-
I found this today on Craigs list Elmira. Thought it was funny a bunny hunt advertised among mostly pet ads.
-
If I zoom in photoshop it looks brown-reddish in color. Could it be intestine or stomach coming out of a hole in the body cavity??
-
Friend sent me this picture. Looks like a tumor???

Love the gun! BTW I have a shoes just like that.

I saw that and totally agree-thanks for bringing that up.

Last night I watched one of those shows. They were taking shots at bears High up on a ridge. They expected the bear to roll down the hill to them when hit. One bear was wounded and others were shot at and never checked to see if they were hit. I couldn't believe how these people were hunting. Just wonderful how hunting for survival is portrayed!

Uncle Ted Yapping a way…..
First-light replied to First-light's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
The educated non-hunting public doesn't listen to him. If Ted didn't rant like this where would he be……….I find him interesting for his love of the outdoors that is about it. Would I sit down and brake bread with him, probably not. -

Can you pass the crossbow please ! -
Heart lungs for sure. I made a mistake this year on a nice buck not letting him turn and present a clear broadside shot.

Cool deal. Glad you enjoyed it. I turned on doe newbies to a Stew this weekend, they loved it!
