  1. The worst part of this whole process is the "Mute Swan" has no say in it……….lol
  2. Steve is a nice guy and very knowledgable.
  3. Well at least his fingers didn't freeze off, can't say that about the brain . Lol
  4. Don't let it bother you. Brush it off and keep on posting. The world is made up of all types of people, some you just can't help.
  5. Great deer, just goes to show you they can be hunted hard and bust you a number of times and still hang around to get their picture in Outdoor News. They aint as smart as they look………...
  6. Fat and happy! Last one a bob cat?
  7. I have been buying online for the last few years, works great!
  8. The bears by me 8P use the same travel rout year after year. Most of the time it is at night but you do catch them being lazy when my field is full of corn. They hang around longer in the security of the stalks but then expose themselves when traveling back to the bedding areas. I also like to hunt an escape rout at the bottom of my property when my neighbors field is being harvested. Saw 6 bear in one sit. So i guess you can say hunt the travel routs to and from corn.
  9. About 7 out and 14 inches of new snow, Long Island.
  10. Geno, I'll keep your tree stand seats warm down on the Island. Really you should have me checking them every weekend ok?
  11. Brother and his daughter out at #5 Otis Pike today. He shot a small button buck that he thought was a piebald. Thing was covered in snow! lol They saw 5 so far and are still hunting.
  12. Yeah something is in the water around Avoca!!! lol
  13. Here is another from the trail cam. Never did see him during season.
  14. Here is a bow buck. What is real cool about him (you really can't see it) is the left antler is really bladed, about 5 inches in width. He was big 2.5 year old weighed 180 lbs.
  15. http://www.newsday.c...-cull-1.6827759 Some news about the cull. From what I saw on the news last night it looked like a very small turnout, anyone there? Here is a website put together for the protection of hunting rights on L.I. http://huntersfordeer.org
  16. FYI-This is what's going on today for those interested. RALLY TO PROTEST THE CULL SCHEDULED TOMORROW. Although this was organized by "animal activists", they understand how important hunting has become in managing the deer population on LI. Remember, Rome was not built in a day, with that said we should show our colors. It is designed to protest the Cull and that is exactly what we are about. You will see that Hunters will be looked upon differently as we go through this journey together, by our peers and critics. PARTICIPANTS will occupy the green at Hook Mill on North Main Street on Saturday, January 18, starting at 1 p.m.
  17. I hear the "animal activists" are having a rally out east tomorrow. Some guys on the LI bow hunting FB site are going to join them. This is turning into a very weird situation………...
  18. 5% take it or leave it. what so hard about showing vacant land?
  19. Better picture of Big Irv!! The first picture I put up for scoring doesn't do him justice. This second picture is what you see in person. Amazing how angles change things.
