  1. Dark shadows and undefined edges on poor quality picts tend to lead to false illusions. Regardless if he is 3.5 or 5.5 he is a good one for sure, go get him Grow!
  2. Honestly we know he is a big deer but the picture quality is poor. We all know it's not a 2.5, anyone's guess after that.
  3. Looks to be a 10 pt. Can't really tell mass, his ears are pinned back also I would say between 125- 135.
  4. Zemm that is great you took Zach out. Its a start, slow and steady and it will catch on. Good for you!
  5. Tough to judge but by the size of the chest I would say 3.5.
  6. Way to go, are we all invited to the BBQ??? lol
  7. Cool picks, must of drove you crazy!
  8. Saw 6 doe Friday afternoon temp was up in the 50's. They were doing there normal thing coming from beds to browse. 3 at 3pm and 3 at 5pm.
  9. Those are Long Island deer. We shot two does last year which you would of thought were a yearling and a 1.5 year old. We were wrong when they were aged, the small one 1.5 years old and the bigger one 7.5 years old. Not saying those bucks are much older but it can throw you on LI.
  10. 8 pt my neighbor shot with the recurve. Two years in row for him. Hunts from the ground deer shot at 12 feet!
  11. Thanks Zemm. Actually had a couple more people look for him yesterday. Didn't find him. Here is a picture of a buck my neighbor shot with the recurve, two years in a row for him.
  12. Here is a picture of my friends buck he shot last Friday. I put an arrow to show direction of shot. Look at the fat on the spine, brisket and sides. I believe Phade and Sam got it right that I hit high up off one side. Arrow probably exited the flank. Thanks for all the input folks.
  13. Deer was not found, my cams are out. Hopefully I'll catch him on the cams or again from my stand. What I have learned: •aim high on a shot close in think exit hole placement. •quartering to is not a great shot, let the deer pass for a greater chance at the vitals (quartering away)
  14. Side of the deer on the shoulder.
  15. This is exactly what my Brother-inlaw told me. I should of waited until he passed me but I was worried he would wind me. The wind was blowing right in his face.
  16. Deer was looked for yesterday and today. We even had the help of some 4legged friends no luck. I had one other friend come in to help out this afternoon and have not heard from hm yet.
  17. For the record I was up a tree 15 feet. I put the 10 yard pin on the bottom of the shoulder. deer was standing 5 yards out. That should work..............
  18. I here ya Grow. Last weekend south west winds, they don't help one bit.
  19. I have to try this for sure. Thanks for all the information!
  20. Elmo, Aim high with my 10 yard pin?? I thought it would be low cause of the close proximity?
  21. Geno, I used my 10 yard pin and held it low on him.......
