Sounds like you on to something. Most of the deer I saw were that size, except for the few that were bloated ready to Pop!

One thing to remember on the major highways there is a crew that goes out and picks them up. They cut back there hours last year, maybe the same thing happening this year??

Guys, So this storm on Sunday was predicted and my radio did its thing up until the real intense storm hit. I lost the signal for about 45 minutes. Is this typical of the weather radios? The alarms worked great and the National weather service was dead on with the timing. Any experienced out there?

I did too! Now I drive 17 from Hariman to Howard, a long stretch. There were more dead deer than I'd like to see and many turtles. Saw one right in the middle of the road doing his best to get across, probably know how that ended!

The video of the lightning in the area!

Well I'm glad to be here, it was a bit touch-an-go last night. They predicted severe storms to hit my area at 11. Not a minute late a wall of water and wind hit the cabin. The worst I have ever been in. The place shook the windows were being pushed by the wind. I got my girls under the stair case. It lasted for about 4 minutes. The storms lasted until 2 am not as severe as the first. At that point I passed out. Woke up at 6 and drove home. The lightning was incredible, I have video of it and will post.

Let's remember why we do this! I'll be at camp with my girls flying my huge american flag from the deer pole! Remember and be safe this weekend! Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday that honors American servicemembers and is observed on the last Monday of May (May 30 in 2011). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. citizens who died while on military service.[1] First enacted to honor Union and Confederate soldiers following the American Civil War,[2] it was extended after World War I to honor Americans who have died in all wars.

Colorado would be my pick. Have friends out there, beautiful place.

I practice 20-30 yards. Never shot a deer over 25 yards and most shots were within 20 yards.

Woodchuck Head Shot In NJ Over The Weekend!
First-light replied to TheFieldArcher's topic in General Hunting
It's pretty simple right here, if it goes against your grain-you deal with it. No laws were broken. Hunting is the practice of pursuing any living thing, but usually wildlife for food, recreation, or trade. In present-day use, the term refers to lawful hunting, as distinguished from poaching, which is the killing, trapping or capture of the hunted species contrary to applicable law. The species which are hunted are referred to as game, and are usually mammals and migratory or non-migratory gamebirds. Hunting can also involve the elimination of vermin, as a means of pest control to prevent diseases caused by overpopulation. Hunting advocates state that hunting can be a necessary component[1] of modern wildlife management, for example to help maintain a population of healthy animals within an environment's ecological carrying capacity when natural checks such as predators are absent.[2] In the United States, wildlife managers are frequently part of hunting regulatory and licensing bodies, where they help to set rules on the number, manner and conditions in which game may be hunted. -

Was walking down 8th ave in NYC last night. It's real nice a lot of restaurants and bars. At 6pm people came out of the bars and were looking to the heavens at 6:03 they were yelling we're still alive, let's keep the party going. It was pretty funny!

Nice Bubba, I bought the 400 this year and thought that was a mule. I can imagine the power your getting from the 750. Pretty pricey machines but worth it. The financing is so silly 1.9 % for 5 years, I'll pay 400 bucks interest on the loan, a win! -
Sure it wasn't John Deere! lol

Once plugged a trailer into my Blazer and there was a faulty ground wire, it burned the wire harness in the Blazer. Cost me about 700 bucks to fix, that was back in 1988-89. Yes trailer wiring sucks. Good luck picking up the quad, enjoy! -
