  1. This is in the general chit chat forum so here it goes, Heineken light or Carona.
  2. Don't you know it, I just hate losing to them......
  3. Maybe, I just hate playing the devils last game.
  4. Just my 2cents. This thread is funny and it looks like other people think the same. As for the weed thread, it should of never been named "Pat's weed thread" and if you didn't like the name Pat, you should of asked for it to be removed.
  5. I'm sick to my stomach!!!!!! 6-2 loss to the Islanders. I see right now a shoot out with the devils last game of the season to see if we make the play offs. Deja vu..................it don't go well.
  6. I have, wasn't too long ago you and I were going at it about the Hunting video I found on YouTube. (The guy who shoots the doe in the head.) Yea your doing a better job, this is an outlet for you. You have to keep yourself together for your wife and three boys. Do what you have to do but keep a forging ahead and things will get better. These guys wouldn't be dealing with you if they didn't like you. Pat you have some funny lines that crack me up. Be well
  7. 3 boys eh, you are going to have a ball! At some point their going to bust yours!
  8. Watch "my cousin Vinny" you'll find out what a yoy is.
  9. At some point traditions will die. I have two girls, I try my best to teach them and get them involved. If they don't take up the sport I hope they retain enough of what I taught them to pass it along to their kids. In my camp we have only one 80 year old left from the old timers. Traditions he had at Indian lake died years ago-I hope he can make my camp this year, I'll be waiting to drive him up and listen to 6 hours of the old days at Indian lake. Stories I have heard a million times but I listen like it was my first....... Wooly- loved the Grandma stuff- that was good.
  10. I know a lot of other folks including myself that read Time magazine. They aren't tree huggers nor anti gun. In fact most of them support hunting and gun ownership. Your making a blanket statement about a magazine and it's readers.
  11. It was a good shot, Crossman 760 pump!
  12. Check out the video. Total darkness sneaking up on 3 elephants. PETA is having a field day with this one. Problem fixed with a gun, they did say you could spray the crops with pepper and some other stuff to keep them away, yea right. unfortunately man and big beast don't play nice with each other. http://ecocentric.blogs.time.com/2011/03/30/shooting-an-elephant—why-godaddys-ceo-was-wrong/?hpt=T2
  13. I told ya, I'm sick of these one goal games! Way to go Buffalo, Rangers couldn't put it in an empty net last night!
  14. Actually with global warming severe weather conditions persist and get much worse. "It is easy to look at global warming just in terms of the average increase in temperature, but the effects are much more far-reaching," said Diffenbaugh, who is a member of Purdue's Climate Change Research Center. "We know from the past that extremes in weather and individual severe storms can be devastating. This study makes a strong statement that a few degrees of global warming could make these severe events much more common than they are today."
  15. You got me Joe, guilt complex it's all coming back now. When I got my first bb gun At the age of 10 I put out bread in my backyard and baited some crows into coming in. I shot one of them, yes shot one. It died right there. I feel much better now the guilt is gone, thanks. I think I'm done with this thread, time to go to Central park and feed the birds.
  16. I'm not a poacher, never in all my years hunting have I ever taken a deer illegally. We know where we all stand.
  17. Your wrong Joe, it would end. Shooting within a reasonable time is fine with me. You push back that time, like we had years ago, there will not be enough light to shoot. I am not a poacher.
  18. Feelings, laws, and social norms can deviate from what is ethical. So it is necessary to constantly examine one's standards to ensure that they are reasonable and well-founded. I would say shooting 5-10 minutes before or after is reasonable and well-founded.
  19. Did she tell you your boss would only let this happen if you didn't take any vacation days in Oct and Nov!!!! lol enjoy the trip!!!!
  20. We all learn from our mistakes. Hunting is not easy and you need a lot of dedication, discipline and patience to be rewarded by your efforts. I was lucky to have a bunch of guys to learn from. I could see how it my be a problem going it on your own. Good luck.
