  1. Thanks Steve-I got it. They aren't like you say- I'll put that to rest.
  2. Funny-I was wondering why the guy who owned my land before me only had up "No Trespassing" signs. Maybe that was it!
  3. Funny Wooly! They don't get it and never will.
  4. Pretty ironic he is writing this. Hope he gets its right.
  5. Blur and Packrats- sorry Pat Rockets, There's a couple of coyotes waiting for you to cruise Rt 17 for road kill-have at it! Sorry you guys are f-ing idiots.
  6. I agree with you Steve, Zumbo got the shaft and it wasn't right. Common ground is good it makes things happen.
  7. So why are you defending the video???? I don't give a crap how long it took you to "get your kill on video" or how happy you were. it has nothing to do with this video. Your going in circles man.
  8. Your right Doc, it's a two way street and at some point you may have to make a U turn on some issues or maybe pull off the road and think for a while. I wish the Cuomo all the luck in the world, tough times right now. "If" this recovery really starts taking hold this year and we keep on adding jobs, well the next Presidential election won't be any different than the last. JMHO
  9. Wow, it wasn't. The person they say has mental issues.
  10. Geno, If the property doesn't come with the mineral rights you better put in clauses into the deed. No drilling closer than x amount of feet from any dwelling. Those type of things. Google Marcellus shale gas deposite in NY. If you going for land in the Catskills or further west (deposit) expect to pay premium prices. All this land sits in the core area of the gas deposit. Mineral rights for land are very important right now so read up on it.
  11. Conflicting reports, this is not what this country needs right now. Prayers are with them.
  12. Had the same Jeep for years, put 200,000 miles on it and I think she is still running the roads in Western NY. I feel for you it's nerve racking experience.
  13. There is a right way and a wrong way of going about your business as a hunter. As hunters we form a diverse group of individuals that make us strong. These guys are hunters but they are also our weakest link. It's a shame they carry the same name as us and that's why "we" the ethical hunters must defend our position at all times. Blur and Packrocket you don't get it.
  14. Glad the two of them are OK! Those Jeeps are tough and get some rest!
  15. Was that huge "buck" shot in the Hancock area? There was a huge 7 point doe taken in Hancock that field dressed 210lbs some years back. The guy that shot it is/was from New Hyde Park. This year a hunter shot a 14 point doe in Walton. No it was shot in the Watkins Glenn area. I would guess around 1992ish. I don't know if they checked the innards.
  16. During the summer with the jackpot at 240 mil I had all the numbers! But I only won 150 bucks. the first and mega numbers were inverted, any other combo I would of at least won 10 grand or 250 grand.....life goes on!
  17. Didn't even catch that eddie. I did read another article that didn't talk about drawloc and the results were the same.
  18. G-man here is an article to back up what you say. I think I can put my questions about crossbows to rest. http://www.drawloc.com/content/crossbow-vs-compound-bow
  19. Cool picture-I have some like that from my Father-in-law. My Father-in-law used to trailer a boat up to Indian lake and use the boat to get around to hunt different parts. He has so many stories from there. I think they used to check in with the ranger and pay 25 cents for a camp ground. I remember him talking about a General store called Chaz-Johns ? (I think that what the name was) There was a forest fire one year and all the hunters got together and helped to put it out. Two locals got stuck on the lake and he pulled them all the way back to the boat ramp, they gave him a key to their cabin as a thank you- use it any time they said. Those were the days!
  20. Years ago I saw a huge buck that was shot opening day. The mass on this deer was tremendous it also was a doe! The rack was very tall and didn't have many beams but was as round as a BB bat at the base.
